Review: OhMiBod Freestyle W

September 4th, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

As soon as I saw the new OhMiBod Freestyle W I was certain that I needed it. As a surfer, I’m drawn to all things ocean/waves. Blue is also my favorite color, so this beautiful vibrator design interested me as first glance. I’m also a big fan of Suki, the creator behind the fabulous OhMiBod brand, as her designs are always so unique and fun. Like the OhMiBod Freestyle and Freestyle G, this is the third in a series of rechargeable OhMiBod toys. This vibrator is made of body-safe silicone and ABS plastic. The blue colored shaft of the toy is smooth and soft silicone, while the white handle is hard plastic The handle features a raised OhMiBod logo on the back, and the front of the handle features a control button, while the tip of the handle features the charging port. This is where you plus the charger into the recharge the sex toy, which you can do from any electric outlet. The silicone shaft looks similar to a wave rippling on the shaft, the internal part of the toy, while the rounded part on top is a clitoral stimulator meant for clit stimulation. This is the first dual stimulation toy in the OhMiBod collection, and I gotta say, it’s a beauty!

Since the toy is made of mostly silicone, it’s compatible with water-based lubricant only. From end to end, this toy measures a little over 8 inches, with 5 inches being insertable. The shaft is 1.5 inches in diameter at it’s thickest point. The vibrator is also splash-proof, which means it’s not waterproof, so it’s best to keep it out of the shower or tub. You can clean this toy with anti-bacterial soap and water toy cleanser, or toy wipes. Just be sure not to get moisture or water into the charging port or the control button. This toy also comes with a three year limited warranty in case there is a problem with the toy being damaged. Like all other OhMiBod toys, this toy is music compatible. You can plug it into your iPhone or iPod, computer, etc and let the toy vibrate along to sound. You can also use this toy wirelessly, no need to plug it in if you use the wireless transmitter that is included with the toy, it will vibrate to sounds and music from up to 25 feet away. The toy can also be used without music or sound, it comes with 4 programmed vibration settings that go from a short pulse to a long drawn out buzz. The vibrator also has 3 speeds from low to medium to high.

The toy also comes in a satin storage pouch, a user manual, charger, transmitter, and international adapters so that you can use this toy from any electrical outlet in any country if you travel. Cool huh? The toy features two motors, one in the shaft that is used internally and one in the clitoral stimulator. This design is similar to the rabbit vibrator style that made dual stimulators so popular, but this fun and functionality design is a really cool and unique take on it! I also like the curved shape of the clitoral stimulator, as the trouble with some stimulators is that it might not reach every woman’s clit since every vagina is different. The shaft is slightly curved upward as well, so it can be used for G-spot stimulation. The rippled wave design along the shaft adds fun texture which feels really nice when moving the toy in and out. The control button looks similar to a flower outline with buttons to press up/down and left/right. There is an Off button on the bottom, Up and down buttons to the left and right, which is how you browse through the vibration speeds and vibration modes. The two buttons at the top are for using the toy with music, you press the music symbol, and to use the toy manually without music you press the button to the right. I really like the vibration on the highest setting, i think the vibration moves nicely through the silicone shaft of the toy. The motor in each part of the toy work in tandem to create waves of pleasure from the vulva and clit all the way through the walls of the vagina. The vibrator isn’t whisper quiet, but it’s definitely not loud, and shouldn’t be heard through a closed down. The vibration intensity is nice, it’s not super intense even at it’s highest setting, but the vibrations resonate nice enough to give me a fantastic orgasm, especially since my pussy can get greedy and devour the vibration of the shaft’s motor, while the clit gets another motor all to itself.

I think this might be my very favorite OhMiBod vibrator to date! The design is beautiful, the color is bright, the control buttons are easy to press and maneuver, the dual design offers stimulation both externally and internally, and the two motors add extra oomph. I like the modern design, and the beautiful rippled waves on the shaft feel fantastic as they slide in and out of my body. The slightly curved tip means that I can focus on thrusting against my G-spot, or I can just enjoy the waves moving in and out undulating inside of my pussy with added texture. I like using it in manual mode, and the pulsation modes programmed in the toy are really fun to use even without music. With music, or any sound at all, meaning you can also use this with your computer which means it’s Skype compatible and sound/voice compatible if used with your cellphone. Ladies, this is one wave you really wanna catch!

Hang ten, baby!

The OhMiBod Freestyle W is available for purchase now! Fun Wares has it for only $109.95 – thats an awesome deal, best price I’ve seen for it online so far!

Evolved Novelties Symphony G Harmony

September 2nd, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

I think this might actually be the first Evolved Novelties toys I’ve featured on Scarlet’s Letter! Whoa, so now is a good time to get a review up here. I recently got the Evolved Novelties Symphony G Harmony vibe, packaged in a cute tin container with two locking clips on either side. The container is red and has the Evolved logo right on the front, with a small see-through window that shows you the shaft of the toy. The Symphony G Harmony measures in at 7 inches, with about 6 inches insertable length, with a 1.5 inch girth. It’s a pretty translucent purple color, with the shaft being made of a TPR material that feels similar to jelly (though it’s not jelly, just say no to jelly toys!) and a endcap that is smooth and feels similar to velvet cote material. The toy requires two AA batteries, which are not included. BYOB, ladies. Bring Your Own Batteries. The shaft of the toy is pliable and has some give to it, the top is smooth but has a few ripples near the end of the toy, and the head of the vibe is curved for G-spot stimulation. The toy container says that the toy is body-safe and phthalates free, it also says the that toy is waterproof. Once the endcap is secured in place after you insert the batteries, this toy can be used in the tub or shower. However, I wouldn’t’ submerge it just because of the endcap. Toys like these are more what I consider to be splashproof, waterproof, but not submersible as water could enter the battery compartment.

The toy can be cleaned with anti-bacterial soap and water, toy cleanser, or a sex toy wipe. Alternatively, you could wipe it down with an isopropyl alcohol to water solution. Be sure not to get water into the endcap. The endcap unscrews to insert batteries, and it’s also the handle to hold onto while using the toy. It’s also how you turn the toy on/off as well. There is a little button on the endcap that can be pressed to turn the toy on, off, to browse through the 3 vibration speeds. This vibrator is pretty quiet, even on the highest setting, and it plays well with both water, oil, and silicone based lubricants. The curve on the tip of the toy is slight, which may be ideal for some, unlike you like direct hard stimulation on your G-spot, then the softer material with the slight curve might not hit you just right. I think this toy is really cute. I like the simple button control on the tip of the endcap, though the vibration intensity even on the highest setting was what I would consider pretty mild/moderate. I like the translucent color of the toy, and the fact that you can see the toy’s motor inside.

It also looks like the tip of the toy has a metal insert, possibly so that when the motor vibrates the toy, the vibrations travel through the metal to resonate. Which would make sense, since since the toy is called the Symphony G Harmony which reminds me of music and the way that music vibrates when the harmonics of a standing wave of music are struck through metal such as a Triangle musical instrument (you know, like they had it music class in school). This toy didn’t know me over with it’s power, but I really liked the feeling of the toy once inserted. The shape of the toy was pleasant, and the ease of holding onto the endcap when thrusting was simple. The toy’s material isn’t very firm, so for some it may be a bit floppy to give true pressure to the G-spot, but overall I liked the feel of this toy, and found that I liked the tip of the toy against my clit and my nipples even more so than I may have liked it pressed against my G-spot. Definitely a cute toy for my first Evolved Novelties product.

You can get the Evolved Symphony G Harmony for $41.95 at FunWares.com

Review: Papaya Toys Candy Stick Vibrator

August 19th, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

Sugar, nah nah nah nah nah nah, aww honey honey, you are my candy girl and you got me wanting you…

I’ve had my eye on the candy colored vibrators from Papaya Toys for awhile now, so when the very awesome Pamela from PT asked me if she could send me a toy for review on my blog I couldn’t say yes fast enough. I chose the really fun looking Papaya Toys Candy Stick vibrator, a pretty vibrator that comes in three bright colors: Strawberry (Bright Pink), Apple (Bright Green), and Grape (Lavender). The swirled texture of the shaft of the toy reminds me of those old fashioned candy sticks and lollipops you can get at old time country stores. The handle of the toy featured a flat end where the control button is, and a slightly rounded side where you can wrap your hand around while you use the toy. The toy is made of soft silicone that is firm to the touch with also has a little bit of give to it, but it’s definitely a fantastic hardness that is great for thrusting. Even the packaging is cute!

The toy measures a full 10 inches, with about 6.5 inches of insertable length. As for with, this toy is a pretty large one, it measures in at 1 and 3/4 inches in girth. Since it’s a silicone toy, it’s meant to be used with water-based lubricant, and it can be cleaned with anti-bacterial soap and water and dried with a lint-free cloth. You can also use toy cleanser or toy wipes to wipe it down also. The toy comes with a user manual, and it’s own black satin storage bag for safe keeping. It also requires 2 AA batteries which can be inserted in the base of the toy, simply unscrew the endcap insert the batteries and screw the cap back on. When the cap is tightly secured it makes the toy waterproof and even submersible, so it’s just fine for bathtub, pool or shower play. The toy is control with the little bow-shaped button at the base of the toy. No having to worry about getting water or moisture into the buttons – they’re seamless! Easy to press as well. Press the button on the left side to turn the toy on, press it on the right to shut the toy off. Once the toy is turned on, you can press the button on the left again and browse through the different vibration patterns, which ranges from a pulsing vibration to steady vibration. Once you find a pattern that you like, pres and hold the button on the left to increase intensity of vibration to your liking. Press the button on the right to decrease the speed, or to go back to a different vibration setting.

The tip of the vibrator is slightly rounded, and the shaft is slightly curved near the tip, rather than being a completely straight vibe. This means you can go for some nice G-spot stimulation if you wish. You can also run the tip of the toy against your clit for external stimulation, or you can use the toy internally for vaginal stimulation (and G-spot stim). The base of the toy isn’t flared, so I wouldn’t suggest using this toy anally. I like the rounded swirls on the shaft of the toy, they remind me of smooth soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt. I love the bright colors of the silicone, and the fun shape and texture of the toy. This toy isn’t whisper quiet, but it’s not real loud either. You could use it behind a closed door without your rommate being any the wiser ;) It also offers nice vibration, and fun vibration settings to browse through at just the click of a finger. This was my the first Papaya Toys vibe that I ever received, and i really look forward to trying out some of the other toys they have to offer, all in bright colors and all with just as fun and stimulating shapes as the Candy Stick!

Toyfriend Bunny Vibrator Review

August 17th, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

The Toyfriend Bunny is one of the original Toyfriend toys that were first released from their collection. Made of quality silicone from head to toe, this waterproof vibrator is sleek and smooth to the touch. It comes in a bright fuchsia pink color, and requires 1 N battery. The Toyfriend Bunny is a fun take on the popular rabbit/bunny vibrators on the market that offer “rabbit ears” as a clitoral stimulator. The Toyfriend Bunny measures in at a little over 5 inches in length and is meant for external stimulation, it can be used against the clit, entire vulva, even nipples or your neck. You can also use it against your anus (however, not inside). Since the toy is silicone, this toy is best used with water-based lubricants. Clean up is a snap, with a wash down of soap and water, or a 10% alcohol 90% water solution. Toy cleanser wipes work as well. This toy is mini! Definitely a lot smaller than the other Toyfriend vibes in my collection. In the photo below, you can see that it’s quite smaller in size when compared to the Toyfriend Bubbly.

This vibe is small and easy to store, and can also slide into your purse or overnight bag. It can also be used in the shower or tub, since after screwing on the cap the toy is waterproof (I wouldn’t submerse the toy in water though, since few toys are actually submersible even if they are toted as waterproof). The toy comes with one speed and one vibration setting, much like a vibrating bullet. As the toy vibrates, the vibrations transfer through the silicone body and create vibration in the ears of the toy. You can nestle your clit between the ears or against the bunny ears to feel the vibrations. This toy is not powerful, it’s definitely a low speed and is probably best for impromptu masturbatory sessions where you need to be discreet. The ears don’t move or flutter as the toy vibrates, and the toy is easily turned on/off by pressing the seamless control button on the bottom of the handle. The toy is pretty quiet and doesn’t make too much noise, which also may account for it’s low vibration intensity. This toy is cute! Totally cute actually, but it definitely didn’t have the oomph in power that the Toyfriend Bubbly had. It would have been awesome with more power, and had it needed an AA battery to power it. Bunny would make a fun cute little gift, but it’s definitely not something I would rely on for an earthquaking O ;)

Fun Factory Little Paul Vibrator Review

August 14th, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

I’ve always thought the Fun Factory Paul/Paulina line was super cute, with the caterpillar shaped toy shaft, so when I saw the cute mini version of the popular vibe, the Fun Factory Little Paul, I definitely wanted to try it out. Fun Factory, the German based sex toy company, is known for making bright candy colored toys in unique shapes that more often than not have detailed bug faces. Sounds funny right? Totally cute! Fun Factory Little Paul comes in Candy Rose color and Pool Blue color, I got this toy in blue but the color has recently been discontinued, so it’s available in Candy Rose from now on. This toy is so much cuter in person than I thought it was going to be. It’s truly a “little” version of the FF best seller Patchy Paul. This vibe is only 5.5 inches in length with a little over 4 inches being insertable, with just over 1 inch in diameter. It’s made of soft smooth silicone and is firm yet pliable like most Fun Factory silicone toys. It requires 3 AAA batteries, which are not included, but the toy does include a sample packet of Fun Factory’s water-based lubricant Toyfluid. Since the body of the Fun Factory Little Paul vibrator is made of silicone be sure to use this toy only with water-based lubes. This toy can be cleaned with anti-bacterial soap and water, toy cleanser, or toy wipes. It can also be wiped down with a solution made of 10% bleach 90% water. This toy is waterproof! So it’s totally cool to use this vibe in the shower or bath.

The shaft of the toy is slightly ribbed with caterpillar like ribs, with the shaft being slightly thicker and then thinning a little as it goes up, and then getting thicker against the the head of the toy (the caterpillar’s head) which is curved for G-spot stimulation. The The base of the toy at the handle is where to insert the batteries. Once inserting the batteries and closing it seals off the battery section making the toy safe for use around water. However, I wouldn’t submerge the handle of the toy in water, just to be on the safe side as the toy isn’t marketed as submersible. The base/handle of the toy is made of body-safe ABS plastic. The control buttons of the toy aren’t on the handle, instead, they are on the base of the shaft of the toy. Two buttons: + and – both being used for powering the toy. The buttons are seamless and pretty easy to press. The toy offers 10 different settings going from a light vibration to a more moderate vibration along with vibration patterns that go from slow pulses to faster vibrating pulses. I like the toy best on the highest vibration setting. It’s not the most powerful vibe, but it’s nice, with vibrations that move nicely through the shaft.

The tip of the head features two little “caterpillar” eyes and where the curved head of the toy meets the shaft, where the curve begins, is the caterpillar’s mouth. This toy is definitely one of the most sugary sweetly cute toys in my collection. The shape and color of the toy might be perfect for vibrator newbies since it’s not very intimating considering it’s side and the fact that it looks like a caterpillar ;) This toy can be used externally and internally. You can use the curved head of the toy against your clit, or you can insert the length of the shaft inside of your vag and let the curved head of the toy stimulate your G-spot. I really like the shape of this toy, paired with the discreet size the feeling of the silicone, as well as the vibration settings. Defnitely a fun little G-spot toy! I think this would have been a fun anal toy as well, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend using this toy anally since it doesn’t have a flared base and it could get sucked up (literally, our butts can pull things deep into our body and make it nearly impossible to retrieve prompting embarrASSing emergency room visits). Fun Factory Little Paul is small enough to use during sex, too, so it would be ideal for couples as well. You can get this cute mini toy for $52.89 at Discrete Sensations!

LELO Insignia Alia review

June 29th, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

As a huge LELO fan, I was thrilled when they released the waterproof (yay!) collection of luxury vibrators called Insignia. Having already featured the Soraya and Isla, I finally wanted to share my experience with the Lelo Insignia Alia. Alia is the cute little clit vibe from the collection, and it’s stylish design and functionality makes it a fantastic little toy. It comes packaged in the signature little black Lelo gift box, it comes with the Lelo 1 year limited warranty, a black satin drawstring storage bag, toy charger and a cute little silver Insignia brooch. Alia is sleek and oval like a naughty little egg, and it comes in either a pink, rose, or black color. I got the black color and it’s really nice and luxurious looking. The entire toy is made of body safe ABS plastic (the silver inner handle) and quality silicone. The silicone is very soft and smooth and feels fantastic on the skin. Alia fits in the palm of your hand, it’s almost like a lipstick vibe redux, it’s shaped nothing but lipstick but it’s small, fits in a purse, great for clitoral stimulation, and it’s super discreet. I could leave the Lelo Alia on my dresser and someone would probably think it was a fashion accessory or something. The Alia doesn’t feature a button interface like previous LELO toys, instead the “buttons” are seamless and placed on the top of the Alia in a +/- encased in the Lelo Insignia logo which looks like a funky little triple figure 8. You can turn the toy on or off, browse through the different vibration patterns and vibration speeds all at the press of a finger. It’s pretty easy to switch the vibration modes even with slippery fingers, the silicone is easy to press and the buttons aren’t stiff or too firm but not soft enough that you’ll press them on accident. Alia itself is not 100% seamless though. It features a tiny little pin-sized hole in the bottom of the toy. At first sight I thought it was a flaw, since it’s a open hole unlike the charging ports in the Soraya or Isla. Alia is waterproof, not just splashproof, but actually waterproof so I found myself wondering why there was a open hole at the charging source. I plugged the charger into the port, and plugged the other end into the wall outlet and let it charge. Once it was done, and I reviewed the toy and the time came to wash Alia I was worried that water would still get into the charging port – it didn’t! Totally awesome. The open hole will take the charging import plug, but even if you put the toy under water, the water won’t enter the hole. I think it’s the way that the silicone dips down slightly at the hole, somehow it creates an air-like seal.

A few hours charge will keep this bad boy ready and fully juiced for hours of use. Since it’s waterproof it can be taken in the shower or bathtub also. It’s also easier to clean than previous LELO toys since it’s waterproof. You can hold it under the faucet and wash with anti-bacterial soap and water, toy cleaner, or a toy wipe. Since the Alia isn’t 100% silicone, I wouldn’t really recommend boiling or putting it in the dishwasher. The silicone isn’t seamless around the inner silver ABS plastic handle of the toy either, so be sure to clean the seam. It’s okay if water gets on the seam. This may be the only drawback to Alia, it would have been great had it been 100% silicone making it able to be fully sterilized and 100% seamless. The core of the toy is ABS plastic while the silicone surrounds it. The toy features 6 different modes ranging from a soft vibration to a high mode. I am a big fan of Lelo’s motors in their toys, to me, they create nice vibrations that resonate deeply rather than just being pitchy vibrations. The vibrations, even at it’s highest setting isn’t super powerful, but it’s definitely a nice amount of power. The vibration modes go from a slow rumble to a more musical rhythmic beat. The vibrations are pretty quiet, like with most Lelo toys. Quiet enough not to be heard through a door, which is great if you have roommates or want to take Alia when you travel. Speaking of, the TSA just gave the OK on sex toys! Vibrators can be taken along in your luggage, and Alia makes it easy with it’s size and discreet design. The toy can also be locked by pressing and holding the +/- buttons for 3 seconds, it can be unlocked the same way. Makes it great for travel or taking the Alia in your handbag, not having to worry about it accidentally turning itself on in your purse!

Alia can be grasped with your finger through the hole, which makes it pretty comfortable to hold, it also makes it great for aiming directly at the clit. You can massage the head of Alia which is slightly rounded to an oval point all over your body including your neck, breasts, nipples, stomach, and entire vulva. It can also be massaged against a man’s shaft, balls and perineum. Making this also a fun couples toy. The toy is small enough that it will fit between two bodies as well, and can be held against the clit while you engage in partner sex. The tip of Alia can nestle between the inner labia quiet nicely and tease your clit that way while the edges of the toy vibrate against your vulva. I think Alia is super cute and it’s definitely a luxury toy, it’s well made, and the fact that it’s rechargeable and waterproof makes it a great toy that you can feel confident about using without having to fumble around for batteries or worry about getting water into the battery compartment. I grab Alia a lot for impromptu masturbation sessions, it fits right in my bedside table drawer and because it’s so easy to clean and I can keep it charged in my drawer, I grab it often for last minute before bed self-love romps ;) The soft silicone make this toy feel great, and it works well with water-based lubes, so be sure to steer clear of silicone lubes when using Alia. I like using Alia on it’s highest vibration setting, and since it’s not overly powerful like some vibrators, it’s great for those with sensitive clits or those who like being able to choose from a variety of vibration settings and speeds without only having to choose between low or high. While Alia isn’t my favorite LELO toy, it’s definitely a great vibe and I’m glad to have it in my collection!

You can try the LELO Alia for yourself at LuvToyz.com, they carry a great variety of sex toys with fast shipping!

Sex Toy Favorite: Jimmyjane Form 2 review

June 21st, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

This powerful pink device in which you see before your eyes is one of my favorite sex toys. I first fell in love with this toy when it was released, but it’s taken me until now to share my review of the toy. I’ve recommended this toy to countless friends, family, and readers. What toy is it? The incomparable Jimmyjane Form 2! Of all of my Jimmyjane sex toys, this one takes the cake. Maybe even the whole bakery. Every. Single. Red. Velvet. Cupcake. I adore the Form 2, and I’ll tell you why. Before I do though, let me tell you more about the product. It’s made of soft supple silicone that is so smooth and sleek to the touch, it’s fully waterproof and submersible which means it’s great for bathtub or pool fun! It’s rechargeable, it’s cute, the design is innovative and modern, and it’s super powerful. It’s the love child of Ethan Imboden and Yves Behar in their first collaboration of the Pleasure to the People line of toys. Form 2 is meant to merry power and precise pin-point stimulation in a sleek stylish luxury sex toy. Not sure how high they aimed the bar when creating this, but they did a splendid job of hitting it! Form 2 is a clitoral vibrator, that is meant to mimic “rabbit ears” that are so popular on rabbit vibes. The probably with most rabbit vibes is that the bunny ears don’t usually offer much stimulation, not to mention, since every woman’s anatomy is different, not all of the bunny ears on rabbit vibes actually reach a woman’s clitoris! So Yves and Ethan created a toy that focuses on the great theme of rabbit ears to stimulate the clit, except they amped it up to be so much better than your average rabbit vibe.

The cool part about the toy is that each “ear” has it’s own motor! The vibrator motors are in the ears, not the base of the toy like most vibrators. The base of the toy features a stainless steel Pleasure to the People Jimmyjane logo, this is also where the sex toy charges. No need to plug anything into the Form 2, you simply rest the Form 2 on it’s charging base and then plug the base into a wall outlet. Upon receiving the toy, you’ll need to charge the toy for a few hours to make sure it’s fully juiced and ready to rock your world. I know it can be hard to wait when you’re excited to try out a new toy or you’re super horny, but give it time to charge completely for a few hours or overnight, it’s well worth the wait. Cleaning the toy is very easy as it can be completely held beneath the faucet, anti-bacterial soap and water works nicely and so do other sex toy cleansers. Water-based lubricant is best for the Form 2 experience, so you want to steer clear or silicone lubes when using this toy, as silicone lube can sometimes make silicone sex toy material tacky or permanently sticky to the touch. The buttons on the toy are seamless also, so you don’t have to worry about getting moisture into the buttons. There is a power button, and a +/- button so you can browse through all vibrations modes and speeds. There are 4 vibration patterns that go from a buzzing to a thumping to a slow grind. They’re all awesome! It also features 5 vibration speeds. Wow wow wow! Honestly, I found the highest speed to be Hitachi powerful! I’ve never used a vibrator that compared with an electrical massager when it came to power, but Form 2 has it! It ranges from a low speed to a va va voom high speed that will have you writhing and squirming in pleasure. The highest setting may even be too powerful for some, but I like a lot of power behind my clit toys so it was awesome for me.

The base of the toy is easy to hold in your hands, and the buttons are easy to press even while the toy is in motion. The motor in each ear vibrates and makes the ears flutter slightly, so it you place the ears against your clit, or squeeze the ears around your clit hugging it, you’ll be greeted with seriously fantastic pin-point stimulation. You can even hold the toy sideways, and hold the bunny ears up and down against your clit instead of across. Each and every way that I hold the Form 2 is simply delicious and orgasmic. Some of the most intense clitoral orgasms I have ever had have come from the Form 2! When I first got this toy, I used it over and over and it quickly became my go-to vibrator of choice. The design is cute, the giant bunny ears style is unique, it comes in a pretty pink or slate gray color, it’s powerful, rechargeable, and waterproof, and it’s made of body safe quality silicone. What else could a girl want in a sex toy? I’ve used this toy in the shower also, and it’s great! You can even use this toy on a man, by cupping his balls with the bunny ears, or holding it against his perineum while you give him oral sex or a stroke him. The Form 2 is pretty discreet and small too, it fits in the palm of your hand, so you could hold it against your clit while your partner works a dildo inside of you or penetrates you vaginally or anally. The fun design doesn’t scream “look at me I’m a sex toy!!” so you could probably leave the Form 2 on your desk or dresses and your roommate probably would think it was just a funky looking piece of tech gear or an odd shaped stress ball…oh it’ll relieve some stress alright ;)

Now, I couldn’t finish this review without talking about the “flaw”. Pretty much as soon as the Jimmyjane Form 2 came out, bloggers and sex reviewers alike were eagerly testing this toy out. Most people seemed to really like it, but a few mentioned a flaw that sometimes happens when using the toy. At times when using the Form 2, if the bunny ears get too close together it feels like the motors switch gears and the vibration travels to the base of the toy and leave the ears. It can be frustrating and annoying, it’s happened to me before, and I was one of the first people to bringing the “flaw” up on Twitter back when the toy was first released. Reviewers emailed Jimmyjane about this, and we’re given tips and an explanation as to why this might be occurring, Jimmyjane even offered to exchange the toy for a new one to see if the toy was faulty. You can chalk it all up to a design error, or consider it a awful flaw that renders the toy useless (some people have!) or you can look past the flaw and enjoy the toy for all of the great things about it. I know about the flaw, it’s happened to me a few times, but now that I know why and how it happens I can usually work around it and still have an amazing orgasm without the vibration shifting. Some people mentioned for a toy of this price you shouldn’t *have to* work around a flaw, which I do agree with in part, but I refuse to say that this toy isn’t awesome just because of the sometimes shift of the motors. No toy is going to be perfect for everyone, but everyone can probably find a toy that is perfect for them, and for me, Jimmyjane Form 2 is one of them. A lot of toys that I like aren’t rechargeable, or the buttons may be hard to press, etc etc, but I won’t let them deter me from using them because I truly enjoy them and the orgasms they give me. That is the relationship that Form 2 and I have, it’s a beautiful give and take, I give the motors their space, and in turn, they power some of my most intensely toe-curling orgasms. Review: OhMiBod Freestyle G

May 11th, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

As a long time fan of the innovative OhMiBod sex toy designs, I was happy to hear that they created another design in the Freestyle shape, the Freestyle G. Like the original Freestyle, this vibrator is wireless and works with music or any other audio. What makes it different than the original though, is that it comes in two colors, both Pink and Purple, and the tip of the head is curved for G-spot stimulation. The toy comes in a pretty OhMiBod box, that looks classy and clean, then the box opens to show the toy, a wireless transmitter with batteries (2 AAA batteries are included), and a charger. Yes, this toy is rechargeable, just like the previous Freestyle model. You can charge the toy right in the base of the toy, by connecting the charger and plugging it into any wall outlet. The toy is made of body safe ABS plastic and a soft velvety PU coating that feels similar to velvet cote. The toy is easy to clean with anti-bacterial soap and water, or toy spray or wipes. It works great with water-based lubricant, and the smooth surface of the toy helps lubricant stay right where you need it. The slim body of the toy measures in at a little over 6 inches in length (5 inches insertable) , and a little over an inch in diameter. The shaft of the toy is straight and smooth until it reaches the tip of the toy, which curves slightly into a pin-pointed tip that is great for clit stimulation, or used internally for G-spot stimulation.

While this is a toy that is meant to be used with music, it can be used as a stand alone vibrator. It boasts 7 vibrations patterns that work without music. If you want to use it with music, you can connected the wireless adapter to your iPhone, iPod, or any other audio device, and the toy will vibrate along to whatever song or sound that you’d like! It’s really cool, I like the technology behind the toy, the modern design of the vibe, and the fact that it’s rechargeable as well as works along with your mp3 player without having to be plugged right into it. The cordless design makes for easier use and more time to spend and enjoy using the vibe. The vibrations are pretty quiet, and they offer moderate to low vibration speed. At it’s highest it’s nice, but definitely not my strongest vibration in a toy. I also would have loved if this toy had been made of silicone, but other than that, it’s fabulous. I like creating playlists on my iPod that specifically are used for getting off with my OhMiBod Freestyle G. The other cool thing is that you can use this toy with a partner, letting them choose what song to tune into and get you off to. You can also plug the wireless transmitter info your computer, which means if you Skype, you could get off to the sound of your partners voice, even if they are away on a business trip or long-distance! Cool huh? I love the fun innovative technology that makes this toy unique, usable, and highly sexy.

If you have an iPhone, you can download and use the OhMiBod App, it lets you control your OhMiBod vibe straight from the touchscreen of the phone!

Review: Jimmyjane Form 4

April 23rd, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

I was really interested in trying the newest release from Jimmyjane’s Pleasure to the People designer line, the Form 4. The Jimmyjane Form 4 is similar to the previous Form designs, in the way that it’s made of quality platinum silicone, it’s completely waterproof, rechargeable, and it’s button controls are seamless. It comes in the signature Jimmyjane Pink or Slate colors that we’ve been introduced to for the last few Jj Form designs. It comes with a limited warranty, a charger and charging port, user manual, and of course, the adorable toy it self. Even the box is pretty and teases you as to what hidden treasure awaits you inside. The silicone is soft to the touch and very smooth, the body of the toy almost looks like a naughty bowling pin, fatter on the bottom, slimmer in the middle, and slightly larger at the head. It’s a very feminine sexy hourglass shape. Like the Form 6, the first Jimmyjane Form toy in the series, this toy is meant for internal stimulation but can be be used for clitoral stimulation also. The silicone is flexible but not soft and squishy, it’s firm enough for nice pressure both on the vulva and inside of the vagina. The head of the toy houses a motor, so the head of the toy vibrates most intensely though the vibrations can be felt up and down the entire shaft of the toy. The motor in the head, rather than the base, offers ultimate stimulation from the vibrations. Near the base of the toy is the controls on the front panel of the toy, the most bottom button is the power button, where you can lock, and turn the power on/off. The other two buttons are for controlling the vibration speed and intensity, and the vibration patterns. The Form 4 offers 5 vibration speeds, which are awesome!

I love the intensity of their vibrations, the Form line has become some of my favorite go-to power toys. The vibration is rumbly and resonates deeper than buzzy vibes tend to. There are also 4 vibration patterns that go through fast beats, and slower drawn out pulses. The buttons are easy to push, even with wet fingers from lubricant. The buttons are near the base of the toy, and are easy to change while the toy is in use. On the bottom of the toy, is a small stainless steel circular Jimmyjane logo that also says “Pleasure to the People”, which has become the Form collection’s slogan. This is also where you’ll charge the toy. The charging port has two metal prongs, that when the Form 4′s steel bottom is placed on the charger, touches the prongs and charges the toy. There is a small seam around the stainless steel circle, but even when washing the toy, or using the toy in water, water stays out of the seam. Before using the toy, it needs to be charged, so before getting to the fun stuff, give it a day or night or charge fully.

I really like the Jimmyjane Form 4, it’s power is awesome, it’s one of the strongest rechargeable vibes that I’ve reviewed. It’s cute, pleasing to the eye, it features a great sleek design thats both modern and inventive, it’s easy to charge, fully submersible in water, easy to clean, and it works great with water-based lubricants. It’s pretty much the textbook example of a luxury sex toy. I believe that you get what you pay for when it comes to sex toys, and this toy is pretty great. It not only looks like a quality sex toy, it feels like a quality sex toy. You can cleanse it with anti-bacterial soap and water, or even a toy cleanser wipe, or an alcohol to water ratio wipedown. It’s fun in the shower, I used it twice in the shower so far, and it was fabulous, easy to hold and offered me a great orgasm as the water sprayed over me. This would be a great toy for couples, as this vibe can be teased over both the female and male body. You can use the toy anally on either sex, it can also be massaged over the breasts, vulva, scrotum, and anus. I suggest placing the toy in a condom before using anally, for easier clean up and more sanitary play, especially if used between partners, or when used both vaginally and anally. This toy can be used during sex, held against the clit, or used while performing oral sex. The toy can be locked for travel, to ensure that it doesn’t begin vibrating while in your suitcase or overnight bag. It’s pretty quiet for the power too! For the amount of intensity of vibration that it provides it’s pretty darn quiet, though it’s not as quiet as Jimmyjane’s Little Something range of toys – however the power of vibration of the Form 4 kicks the vibration of the Little Something’s ass!

I was rewarded with an insanely toe-curling orgasm from using the Form 4, both clitorally and vaginally. This toy was awesome against my clit, with the rounded head sitting against my clit and touching my inner labia, the smoothness and pointpoint vibration that came from the head of the toy was awesome. I like that the motor is in the head of the toy, rather than in the base, which would make the vibrations have to travel up the silicone, slowing the intensity. This design is much more sophisticated and pleasurable, with my clit and vagina getting to enjoy the attention of a motor all to itself! I also used this toy vaginally, and though it doesn’t have a curved head for G-spot stimulation, you can position the toy upward to find your G-spot. The vibration intensity is great internally for those who like powerful toys, the rounded larger base of the toy is great for holding in the palm of your hand and thrusting also. This toy is a keeper!

You can get the Jimmyjane Form 4 at KamaSutraCloset.com for $145. How would you like 15% off of your order? Just use discount code “SCARLET15” at checkout! You’ll also receive free shipping with the purchase of the Form 4.

We-Vibe Touch review

April 3rd, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

We-Vibe just released a line of cute mini vibes that are colorful and discreet. I recently got to review the We-Vibe Touch, which is a pretty silicone vibe meant for clitoral stimulation. It comes packaged in a fold out box that features the We-Vibe logo and a photo of the toy, mine was the Ruby color, which is a deep red color. The toy is waterproof, and made of 100% body safe material, with the body of the toy being smooth sleek silicone. Though the toy is pliable and bendable, the silicone has a bit of a shiny plastic feeling, much like that of the original We-Vibe toy, it’s not velvety like some other silicone toys, this type of silicone on the toy offers an interesting sensation and I thought it offered a fun added bit of friction since the silicone doesn’t feel brushed. The silicone is smooth to the touch and bends easily. It fits in the palm of a hand, and is very discreet looking. The vibe is rechargeable, and comes with a charger and a small white charging port. The port connects to the toy magnetically and charges the toy, so that the vibe truly is 100% waterproof and you don’t need to worry about getting water into the charging port because there is *no* open port to connect to, it’s all magnetic.

You can see the toy magnetically connected to the white charging port in the photo above. You plug the ac adapter charger into the charging port and then the toy charges. One charge takes around 90 minutes, and it provides up to 2 hours of play time use, depending on what settings you use the vibe on. The tip of the toy offers pin-point stimulation to the clit, and the body can be held against the entire vulva. The top of the toy is smooth with the We-Vibe logo, and the bottom of the toy offers a scooped contoured shape, with a pointed end. The other end of the toy is the user button. To turn the toy on, you press the center button once, then continue to press it as it goes through different vibration intensities and vibration patterns. Even on the highest setting the toy is pretty quiet, so you can’t hear the toy through a closed door. The vibe offers a steady vibration pattern, as well as a quick fluttering pattern, a thumping pattern, and more. It ranges from a light vibration to a nice steady vibration speed that is pretty decent for the size of the toy. However, this toy isn’t meant for firm pressing. If you press the toy too firmly against your clit it definitely muffles and slows down the vibration. So this is a toy meant for light use against the clit and vulva, rather than firm pressing or grinding. This toy works really nicely with water-based lube, the lube glides nicely over the type of silicone finish that the We-Vibe Touch has.

You can see the scooped body of the toy, the tip, and the control button in the photo above. The two small silver dots are where the charging port connects to the toy. To clean the toy, you can use anti-bacterial soap and water, or your favorite sex toy cleanser. A sex toy wipe would be adequate to get the job done also. Since the toy is waterproof, it can be used in a variety of ways. In the shower, in a hot tub, in the bathtub, in a pool, etc. Wherever you like! I tried this vibe out while in the shower and it was great! Using it under the spray of the water was great, and my body being wet made the toy glide against my skin very nicely. I like the feel of the Touch’s silicone, it’s different than most of my other silicone vibes, and closer to the type of silicone that my dildos are usually made of rather than the buttery brushed feeling of most silicone vibes. I thought it offered a nice touch during clitoral play. You can also use this toy with a partner, massage it against your man’s genitals, balls, and perineum. Or hold it against your clit while your man enters your pussy. It can also fit between two bodies nicely so that two females could hold it between them. So it really works in a variety of ways and different scenarios.

You can see the top of the toy in the photo above. This is the part that fits in the palm of your hand so you can glide and tease the tip of the toy against your clit. Since the body of the toy is silicone be sure not to use it with a silicone lube, as this can ruin the material of the silicone. I tested out the settings of the toy and was pretty pleased. First off, I like the ease of charging the toy, it’s simple and doesn’t take much time. I also like being able to wash the toy without having to worry about getting water into the toy’s seams or buttons. I like the feel of the silicone, and I like the contoured shape of the toy which fits so nice against the female anatomy. The vibrations are nice and resonate rather than being pitchy or buzzy, and the toy is easy to control and change settings with just a click of the button. I liked using the toy on it’s highest setting on a steady vibration, it made for a really nice orgasm. The toy is small enough that you can even use the toy while you use an internal toy as well. You could pair this toy with an nJoy Pure Wand, a glass dildo, or any other internal toy that you like. I like all of the functions that this toy boasts, and I especially like the price. For the quality of the toy, the silicone material, the waterproof and rechargeable design, toys of this type generally go for upwards of $100. Not the We-Vibe Touch, this toy sells for under $70! If you don’t want the toy in the Ruby color, it also comes in Teal and classic We-Vibe Purple.

You can get the We-Vibe Touch for $69.95 at FunWares.com!
