The shape is similar to their Bubbles vibrator, except the design is round, small, and meant for external stimulation. Not only is this toy made of soft smooth silicone, but it’s also waterproof and safe for shower or bathtub fun. This vibrator uses the Fun Factory Click n’ Charge system, which features a magnetic charging port. No need to plug the charger into the toy, instead the toy is seamless, no holes or ports, and you simply attach one end of the charger on the metal “fun” logo on the top of the toy. I really like the charger, the magnetic features works with all Fun Factory Click n Charge toys, and it’s easy to use, and makes recharging a snap.

The entire body of the toy is rounded and curved, making for a luscious and pretty toy that is meant to please. Since the toy is made of silicone, it’s compatible with water-based lubricants, and since it’s waterproof, clean up is a breeze. Silicone is non-porous and doesn’t hold bacteria like plastic or rubber toys can, so cleaning it with anti-bacterial soap and water, a sex toy cleaner wipe, a water to bleach solution, or a liquid sex toy cleanser will work just fine. Then there is the turbo boost button that is an asterisk * will intensify the vibrations no matter what speed setting you are on. The toy can be a bit loud, not Hitachi loud or anything, but definitely not whisper quiet. The vibration patterns are nice and offer variety, while the speeds go from a low to a nice high that is pretty powerful. The vibrations are more rumbly than pitchy and buzzy, which I consider to be a good thing. I also like the fact that the toy is waterproof. I found it really great for clit stimulation, and with the three balls (like the O’s in the name Yooo), it allows you to arrange the toy against your vulva as you see fit. I found that I could rest the entire toy on my pussy from clit to perineum to enjoy vibration over my entire pussy. The turbo boost button was fun and a cute little addition that did indeed create a more intense vibration. The buttons can be a hit hard to press because they’re firm and bubbled, so with super lubed up hands some slippage can occur, but nothing too annoying.

As a huge LELO fan, I was thrilled when they released the waterproof (yay!) collection of luxury vibrators called Insignia. Having already featured the Soraya and Isla, I finally wanted to share my experience with the Lelo Insignia Alia. Alia is the cute little clit vibe from the collection, and it’s stylish design and functionality makes it a fantastic little toy. It comes packaged in the signature little black Lelo gift box, it comes with the Lelo 1 year limited warranty, a black satin drawstring storage bag, toy charger and a cute little silver Insignia brooch. Alia is sleek and oval like a naughty little egg, and it comes in either a pink, rose, or black color. I got the black color and it’s really nice and luxurious looking. The entire toy is made of body safe ABS plastic (the silver inner handle) and quality silicone. The silicone is very soft and smooth and feels fantastic on the skin. Alia fits in the palm of your hand, it’s almost like a lipstick vibe redux, it’s shaped nothing but lipstick but it’s small, fits in a purse, great for clitoral stimulation, and it’s super discreet. I could leave the Lelo Alia on my dresser and someone would probably think it was a fashion accessory or something. The Alia doesn’t feature a button interface like previous LELO toys, instead the “buttons” are seamless and placed on the top of the Alia in a +/- encased in the Lelo Insignia logo which looks like a funky little triple figure 8. You can turn the toy on or off, browse through the different vibration patterns and vibration speeds all at the press of a finger. It’s pretty easy to switch the vibration modes even with slippery fingers, the silicone is easy to press and the buttons aren’t stiff or too firm but not soft enough that you’ll press them on accident. Alia itself is not 100% seamless though. It features a tiny little pin-sized hole in the bottom of the toy. At first sight I thought it was a flaw, since it’s a open hole unlike the charging ports in the Soraya or Isla. Alia is waterproof, not just splashproof, but actually waterproof so I found myself wondering why there was a open hole at the charging source. I plugged the charger into the port, and plugged the other end into the wall outlet and let it charge. Once it was done, and I reviewed the toy and the time came to wash Alia I was worried that water would still get into the charging port – it didn’t! Totally awesome. The open hole will take the charging import plug, but even if you put the toy under water, the water won’t enter the hole. I think it’s the way that the silicone dips down slightly at the hole, somehow it creates an air-like seal.

A few hours charge will keep this bad boy ready and fully juiced for hours of use. Since it’s waterproof it can be taken in the shower or bathtub also. It’s also easier to clean than previous LELO toys since it’s waterproof. You can hold it under the faucet and wash with anti-bacterial soap and water, toy cleaner, or a toy wipe. Since the Alia isn’t 100% silicone, I wouldn’t really recommend boiling or putting it in the dishwasher. The silicone isn’t seamless around the inner silver ABS plastic handle of the toy either, so be sure to clean the seam. It’s okay if water gets on the seam. This may be the only drawback to Alia, it would have been great had it been 100% silicone making it able to be fully sterilized and 100% seamless. The core of the toy is ABS plastic while the silicone surrounds it. The toy features 6 different modes ranging from a soft vibration to a high mode. I am a big fan of Lelo’s motors in their toys, to me, they create nice vibrations that resonate deeply rather than just being pitchy vibrations. The vibrations, even at it’s highest setting isn’t super powerful, but it’s definitely a nice amount of power. The vibration modes go from a slow rumble to a more musical rhythmic beat. The vibrations are pretty quiet, like with most Lelo toys. Quiet enough not to be heard through a door, which is great if you have roommates or want to take Alia when you travel. Speaking of, the TSA just gave the OK on sex toys! Vibrators can be taken along in your luggage, and Alia makes it easy with it’s size and discreet design. The toy can also be locked by pressing and holding the +/- buttons for 3 seconds, it can be unlocked the same way. Makes it great for travel or taking the Alia in your handbag, not having to worry about it accidentally turning itself on in your purse!

Alia can be grasped with your finger through the hole, which makes it pretty comfortable to hold, it also makes it great for aiming directly at the clit. You can massage the head of Alia which is slightly rounded to an oval point all over your body including your neck, breasts, nipples, stomach, and entire vulva. Even on the highest setting the toy is pretty quiet, so you can’t hear the toy through a closed door. The vibe offers a steady vibration pattern, as well as a quick fluttering pattern, a thumping pattern, and more. It ranges from a light vibration to a nice steady vibration speed that is pretty decent for the size of the toy. However, this toy isn’t meant for firm pressing. If you press the toy too firmly against your clit it definitely muffles and slows down the vibration. So this is a toy meant for light use against the clit and vulva, rather than firm pressing or grinding. This toy works really nicely with water-based lube, the lube glides nicely over the type of silicone finish that the We-Vibe Touch has.

You could pair this toy with an nJoy Pure Wand, a glass dildo, or any other internal toy that you like. I like all of the functions that this toy boasts, and I especially like the price. I love massager type vibes, but most of them are electric and need to be plugged in, which can make it a bit restricting. The vibration intensity, even at the high setting, is more like a medium, but I found that to be a good thing because even though the vibration wasn’t as intense, the vibrating head offered a lot of stimulation, and I immediately took note of suggesting this massager to females that I know who like massager style of toys, but find them to be too harsh. This is where you control the vibration speeds and the vibration modes. Isla offers 6 vibration patterns and vibration speeds that range from a low rumble to a nice stronger grumble. The buttons are easy to press, even during use. The handle of the toy offers a fingerhole, so you can grasp the toy easier during use, even with slippery fingers. The body of the toy is smooth and offers a slightly tapered head with a small curve, to assist with G-spot stimulation. Lelo Insignia Isla is very lightweight in the hand too, and I found the toy pretty comfortable to hold. The toy isn’t completely seamless around the ABS plastic, so when cleaning lube and fluids from your toy be sure to clean the seam properly to fully sanitize the toy. You can use your favorite toy cleaner, toy cleaner wipes, an alcohol solution, or anti-bacterial soap and water. I love how pretty the toy is, and it’s awesome to finally own a series of LELO vibes that are waterproof, which was a request of mine I’ve had for awhile now.

So besides being pretty, how does the toy work? Pretty well. You can tease the tip of the toy against your clit, or dip the tip inside of your vaginal opening. It has a lot of great qualities to it, I just would have liked for a little bit of stronger vibration, such as a more powerful motor like in the LELO Siri. I also would have loved the silver ABS plastic to be a little easier to clean around the seams of the silicone. Only because I’m a clean freak when it comes to my toys, and I really like to know that no bacteria or germs are lingering. I also think it would have been awesome if real steel was used in place of the plastic, however I can understand why it wasn’t, considering the motor of the toy resides in the inner plastic body, and steel on the toy would hike the price of the toy up even higher. You can press the button and browse through 3 vibration speeds, and 3 vibration settings, for a variety of 6 modes all together. Oh, and while the toy is rechargeable, it’s also cordless. No wires or plugs to get in your way while in use. Instead, the toy comes with a USB charger. The charger can be plugged into the charging port on the bottom of the toy, then you plug the USB port into your desktop computer or laptop. There is a light on the toy that shines blue while the toy is charging. Which means you can charge this toy from any computer! No need for an electrical outlet. The USB charger also features other charging ports built right into it, where you could even charge your cellphone while you’re charging your toy! However, besides the toy, you shouldn’t have more than one other charging device plugged into the charger at one time. This toy is compatible with water-based lubricants because of the silicone head, and it’s pretty easy to clean also, even the neck where there are ridges. I found that the entire toy, head neck and all, was pretty easy to wipe down with a toy wipe, or toy cleanser and a washcloth. The toy is made of body-safe material, and it’s pretty quiet, which is what I would hope for with a mini toy of this size. The toy comes in a clear container, much like how most Vibratex toys are packaged, and it comes with a thin user manual, which really doesn’t offer much instruction, but the toy is pretty self explanatory if you’re an avid sex toy user. I love the toy of the toy, and the small size. I really do love wand type of toys, but often they can be bulky and not the most comfortable in your hand when using to masturbate.
