The Crystal Wand Acrylic G-spot Dildo

June 1st, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

After recently reading Deborah Sundahl’s Female Ejaculation & The G-spot, and watching the DVD version of it, I noticed that in both resources they mention a G-spot toy called The Crystal Wand, which is a lightweight acrylic dildo meant for G-spot stimulation in women, or P-spot stimulation in men. In the DVD, I saw women stimulating their G-spots using this toy, and in Sundahl’s book she mentions that it is an effective G-spot dildo that aids in helping women find and stimulate their own G-spots. I did a little research online and found out that The Crystal Wand is created by Love Nectar, created by Cynthia Lamborne who designed the Crystal Wand, and is an intimacy coach and leader in Tantra and sacred sensuality, including female ejaculation. Cynthia sent me a Crystal Wand of my own to try, and I was beyond excited to give it a go. The Crystal Wand dildo comes in both a clear acrylic, or a purple translucent acrylic. Both look similar in shape to a letter S, and the toy is very lightweight. I liked this because a lot of times with G-spot stimulation my hand gets sore from holding a heavy dildo, but the Crystal Wand was so light in my hand. One end of the dildo is rounded, the other end is rounded to a soft point. The pointed end is great for anal stimulation and P-spot stimulation in men, while the rounded end is meant for G-spot stimulation. I love the design, the curved S shape made the toy easy to hold, and because the toy isn’t too big in diameter (it measures in at 7/8 of an inch) it could fit a variety of women, even those who have trouble using large toys or have difficulty with insertion. Also, acrylic is easy to clean, all you need is anti-bacterial soap and water, and it works well with water-based lubricants. It’s also beautifully smooth to the touch.

The Crystal Wand comes in a pretty velvet drawstring pouch, which you can use for toy storage, and it comes with an instructional manual that gives you tips on how to use the toy. The toy also features the Love Nectar logo on it, the design is pretty and neat. I have short fingers, so it’s really hard for me to try and stimulate my G-spot manually, I have to use a toy to find and stimulate it. Most G-spot dildos tend to be big and bulky, or they can be heavy and uncomfortable to hold. I found the Crystal Wand to be an awesome fit for me! It can be hard finding your G-spot if you can’t actually feel it with your fingers, and since every woman’s body is different the G-spot isn’t always found in the exact same “spot”, it can be just inside of the vaginal opening, or it can be further back along the front vaginal wall. The G-spot is the urethral sponge, which feels like a slightly ridge area inside of the vagina, as you stimulate the G-spot it swells and engorges with ejaculate and when you continue to stimulate it, you can ejaculate by pushing out with your pelvic muscles. Many women enjoy this type of stimulation and really like the feeling of a G-spot orgasm, which I have noticed feels different and deeper than an orgasm that is based on clitoral stimulation alone.

I get emails from time to time from women asking me about how to find their G-spot, or telling me that they can’t find it, or asking me if they are squirting ejaculate or not, etc etc. I try to be as helpful as I can, but as each woman is different it takes a lot of practice and trial and error when paving the way to female ejaculation. Some woman are natural ejaculators and it comes very easy to them, but usually it takes a little more work in finding the G-spot and learning to stimulate it with the right pressure and pace that works for your body. The thing I really loved about the Crystal Wand is that upon insertion, it found my G-spot for me so easily! How did I know After inserting the rounded end of the dildo with a little bit of water-based lubricant on the tip, I slide the toy inside and felt the curved end rest inside of me. I grasped the other end of the dildo (the pointed end) and thrusted the dildo once, and immediately felt it stimulate my G-spot with the tell-tale “feels like I have to pee” feeling. No other G-spot dildo has ever made finding my G-spot so easy! The pointed end of the dildo was easy to grasp, and the lightweight feeling of the acrylic made it comfortable to rock against my G-spot. I also could hold a vibrator at the pointed tip, and the vibrations traveled very nicely through the acrylic body and I could feel the vibrations reach my G-spot.

I would highly recommend this dildo to women who have yet to find their G-spot, or those who are new to G-spot stimulation. This toy would be great for those who love G-spot stim but find that their current G-spot toy is a bit heavy or bulky. Many woman have squirted for the first time while using the Crystal Wand dildo, and upon using it, I can see way. The shape, size, curve, and light weight of this toy makes it ideal for female ejaculation! I found that I felt as though I could squirt quite easily while using this toy! As  matter of fact, this may be my new go-to G-spot/squirting toy – I love it that much! I felt comfortable using it, it made G-spot stimulation so easy and relaxing, and it helped to create a squirting O. This was the best dildo I have used for female ejaculation, and I can’t say enough about it, it’s great and a wonderful addition to my collection of toys. This toy is beneficial for G-spot newbies and those who are interested in squirting for the first time. This toy has even been showcased in Penthouse Magazine, and has been featured in HBO’s Real Sex series. I really appreciate the respect Cynthia Lamborne’s want to help women embrace their G-spot and awaken it’s fountain of ejaculatory waters. I think her product is fantastic and it would have been so so helpful when I was first learning about my G-spot and trying to find it. I would highly recommend this to women who are curious about ejaculating and have yet to do so, this may just be the product to help you!

Cynthia Lamborne also runs Pelvic Therapy Products which offers products and sexual health products to doctors, medical hospitals, and gynecologists. Cynthia told me that a lot of hospitals, sex therapists and physical therapists have been buying The Crystal Wand. She also told me: “There is a new division in the Medical Field of Physical therapy called “Pelvic Therapy”. Women with health conditions such as Vaginismus and Vulvidenia are instructed in use of the Crystal Wand to help alleviate pain, tension and numbness in the Vagina as well as other symptoms that create female problems. Hospitals such as Kaisser Permanente are now using it with great results”.

For more information about the Crystal Wand check out LoveNectar.com – The Crystal Wand is only $35.95, highly recommended!

DVD Review: Loving Sex The G-Spot & Female Ejaculation

May 20th, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

Ever since reading Deborah Sundahl’s The G-spot and Female Ejaculation book, I’ve been really interested in learning more about just how the G-spot works, and in that, I’ve been fascinated with films and books that showcase females ejaculating. So when I found this awesome Loving Sex DVD from Deborah Sundahl, I thought that after reading her book it only made sense to check out the DVD! The G-spot & Female Ejaculation DVD pretty much covers all the basics for newbies who are just learning about G-spots, or lovers who are interested in female ejaculation, or even those who already ejaculate but want to know more about the process. This DVD is educational, stimulating, and fun to watch. Deborah Sundahl tells us about the G-spot, how it works, where to find it, and reminds us that all women have the ability to find their G-spot and in that, if they choose, have the ability to squirt. The DVD covers the basics of an Introductory explanation of the G-spot, a lesson on how to find and stimulate you (or your partner’s) G-spot, along with how to stimulate the G-spot with a toy, and how to stimulate your G-spot with sex positions that you and your lover can try. I found it all really informative and fun to watch. To me, none of the scenes were boring, instead I remained engaged in watching and have already suggested this DVD to a friend! I’ve watched this DVD twice, and both times I ended up being so aroused that I had to take a break to stimulate my own G-spot! ;)

The DVD features real-life couples (I love love love this fact, nothing about this DVD feels like porn, nor does it feel fake with contrived orgasms) who enjoy the experience of female ejaculation. We see couples who try different sex positions, couples who achieve squirting orgasm through oral/manual sex, and dildo/vibrator masturbation. We also see solo scenes of women who stimulate their G-spots in a variety of ways, all coming to an explosive squirting orgasm. It was so fun to watch each women work her G-spot, and watch her reactions. Some women prefer slower build up and stimulation in more of a milking sensation, while others preferred fast hard pumping. Nearly all of the scenes involving couples were stimulating to me, the couples truly looked in tune and you could tell that the male partners truly enjoyed giving their lady a squirting orgasm. I found this DVD to be very erotic, and the fact that it shows us exactly what a G-spot looks like (not a drawing, an actual G-spot aroused and showing through the vaginal opening!) and just how it reacts to touch, what it feels like from the tail of the G-spot, to how it feels as it engorges and fills with prostatic fluid. Honestly, I can’t say enough about this DVD. A lot of people have the wrong idea of female ejaculation and think it’s urine since it’s expelled through the urethra, but like male ejaculate comes from the urethra of the penis, as does fluid from the female urethra. Semen isn’t urine, nor is female ejaculate. I love that this DVD showcases both knowledge about the G-spot (urethral sponge) and visuals that show female ejaculation in action!

In the above screenshots you can see one couple where the woman is stimulating her G-spot using the Crystal Wand dildo while sitting on her partner’s lap, in the next screenshot is a shot of a couple using a Njoy Pure Wand, the next screenshot is a couple showcasing a sex position that aides in G-spot stimulation, and the last screenshot is a woman ejaculating as her partner helps to stimulate her G-spot. A lot of the couples were really passionate and I found that truly sexy, one of my favorites were the scenes with the couple in the last two screenshots. Their sex was steamy and at one point as he enters her from behind, she gushes female ejaculation all over the floor at their feet. Super hotness! It also has a great scene of a woman masturbating in front of a mirror and she climaxes several times while squirting on the mirror. There is another scene of a woman using a Hitachi Magic Wand with a G-spot attachment who also ejaculates. A few of the couples talk to the camera and explain what they like to do to stimulate the G-spot together. As a female I felt empowered and sexy while watching this DVD, and though I am familiar with G-spot stimulation, I could definitely see women who aren’t familiar with G-spot stimulation truly liking this DVD. It’s an awesome video for women and couples alike.

I can’t gush enough (pun intended) about this DVD, it’s wonderful and I’m so glad I got the chance to check it out. You can find The G-spot & Female Ejaculation DVD at TabuToys.com for only $25. Honestly a great deal for those who are new to G-spot stimulation or those who love it and want to know more!

Njoy Pure Wand review

April 20th, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

The Njoy Pure Wand. Ahhh, the myth, the magic, the mystique. Okay okay, so I’m being dramatic, but truth be told, this toy has become the talk of the sex toy world. Sex toy bloggers and adult toy lovers one and the same have tales of this G-spot dildo being “The One”. I am a huge fan of the beautiful toys that Njoy produces. Their pieces are always high quality, heavy stainless steel toys, that are finely crafted and are known for their unique design and quality. I was beyond thrilled and excited to get this glorious object near my naughty bits. Like all Njoy toys, this fantastic pleasure instrument comes in a sleek black gift box with the Njoy pink satin lining. When I first lifted the lid off the box, I was enamored by the Njoy Pure Wand. One end measures in at 1″, this is the samller end, while the other end measures in at 1.5″ around. The entire toy weighs 1.5 lbs!

It is a striking sex toy. More artistic than overtly sexual. It oozes sensuality, from the shape, down to the shiny steel body. When you pick this toy up, you can feel the weight of it’s body. It’s heavy, and powerful. I could just imagine how sinfully sexy this was going to feel inside of my vagina. One end of the toy is a small round ball, that can be inserted into the vagina or anus. The balled end is curved, so its perfect for G-spot or P-spot stimulation. The other end of the toy is a larger round ball that can also be inserted into the body. It’s a great idea to warm up with the smaller end and then proceed to the larger end. Since the Pure Wand holds temperature, you can steep the dildo in a bowl of hot water, or pop it into the fridge to cool the steel. I love warming up dildos, they feel divine as the warm body is engulfed by the added heat inside of my vagina. Being made of stainless steel also means that this toy can be used with any type of lubricant that you like. I love using Njoy toys with silicone lubricant, because a little bit of silicone lube goes a long way on steel toys. You can also use a water-based lube if you prefer though. Cleaning this toy is a simple task also. Anti-bacterial soap and water works wonders, and so does a non-abrasive sex toy cleaner.

To get warmed up for this toy, I had a little bit of fun running the smaller end of the Pure Wand against my clit. The steel was very smooth and seductive, and glided along very nicely against my clitoris. Before long, my vagina was aching to take this baby for a spin. I inserted the small round ball end of the Pure Wand into my vagina, and immediately enjoyed the feel. The body of the Pure Wand made the round ball rest against my G-spot quite nicely. I held onto the larger balled end of the Pure Wand and spent some time pressing the smaller end of the dildo against my G-spot. It didn’t take long to notice just how nice this toy felt inside of me, because I was craving for the larger end in no time. Inserting the larger ball is easy as long as you’re fully aroused and properly lubricated. Insertion is wonderful. You can feel the weight of the larger ball press against your G-spot, but you can also feel the weight inside of your entire vaginal canal. I tried doing a few kegel exercises while the Pure Wand was inserted, and I found that the weight of the steel felt amazing on my pelvic floor muscles. I held onto the small ball on the other end of the Pure Wand for a handle, and began working the larger end in and out of my vagina. The weight of this toy made the G-spot stim feel even more intense. So I continued to thrust the large ball against it, as the weight of the steel met with the rhythm of my thrusts, I couldn’t help but moan with pleasure. My hips began to move with the thrusts of the Pure Wand. I couldn’t believe how intense the G-spot stimulation was. Even without vibration! Then it happened. I squirted! This is one of the only G-spot toys that has ever produced a squirting orgasm for me. Needless to say, the Pure Wand has become a huge favorite of mine.

The sex toy shop The Sensual Moments has the Pure Wand on sale for only $69!! Get. It. Now. That price is insanely low for a toy of this quality. Seriously ladies, if you care for my reviews at all and like hearing my opinions on sex toys, this is beyond an awesome deal and is one of my favorite dildos!

Book Review: Female Ejaculation & the G-Spot by Deborah Sundahl

April 18th, 2011 @ Amber St. Clare

I’m fascinated by sexual anatomy, specifically the female sexual system, since it hasn’t been given much attention until recently with G-spot studies. There was a time when orgasms were elusive for women, time and attention was not spent on female sexual gratification as it was for men. The female anatomy is complex, it takes time, understanding, and knowledge to know how our bodies work and what drives our sexual desires. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time now, so I was thrilled to finally read Female Ejaculation & the G-spot by Deborah Sundahl. This book is one of the most informative books that I have picked up on the subject. Deborah Sundahl spent years researching and learning about the G-spot, starting with her first time experiencing female ejaculation in “accident”. It happened for her during a stimulating sexual experience with her partner that left her gushing all over the floor. Thus began her delve deeper into the inter workings of the female orgasm, specifically the G-spot orgasm and female ejaculation. The book details just how the G-spot can be stimulated to let your body expel female ejaculate, both with or without orgasm, which I thought was really cool. It includes tips and step by step directions on how to locate, stimulate, and massage your G-spot. It also includes information on researchers who have dedicated time and energy into figuring out how the G-spot can cause female ejaculate. She also goes on to explain, to those are unsure or need to be informed, that female ejaculate is *not* urine. that it is ejaculate fluid expelled from the G-spot (the proper name for it is the Urethral Sponge) as the spot engorges with excitement and fills, to dribble, squirt, or gush a clear ejaculate fluid. Very informative for those who have never experience G-spot orgasm or those who want to know more about what goes on behind their G-spot orgasms. There are drawings and illustrations inside showing the inner design of the G-spot, and Deborah also goes on to show us just what she does in her G-spot and Female Ejaculation workshops. She mentions how she has taught women in her workshops to locate and stimulate their G-spots. She even mentions that if you were to insert a speculum into your vagina, and turn it sideways, rather than upright like they do in an gynecological exam, you can actually *see* your G-spot. This has been such a fun read, and I’ve learned a lot about just why my G-spot orgasms feel so darn good. I highly recommend this book to every woman who reads my blog, whether you’ve experienced G-spot orgasms or not, this book is a must. Each women has a G-spot (even if some “researchers” want to say otherwise) and *can* ejaculate, if they choose to do so. Not every women has to, but I think it’s something that is definitely worth experiencing at least once.

Deborah also goes on to mention that the female orgasm, including the G-spot orgasm and ejaculation, was once considered very taboo, and in some instances is thought to be so even today. Though more and more women are taking their orgasms into their own hands, embracing their G-spots and their abilities to ejaculate. She makes a LOT of great points in this book, I won’t go on to tell you all about them, because I want you to read this book! ;) You won’t be disappointed. You can get Female Ejaculation & the G-Spot at FunWares.com for $15.95

Fun Factory Delight review

October 6th, 2010 @ Amber St. Clare

I often get emails from readers (I love getting reader emails please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have a question!) about G-spot and G-spot toys. So lately I’ve really been wanting to showcase some cool G-spot friendly toys. Allow me to introduce you to the Fun Factory Delight. Fun Factory, a great sex toy brand from Germany, creates a bunch of cool sex toys. A lot of their toys are colorful and have interesting shapes, such as the Delight, pictured above. The Delight comes in a fun Turquoise/Purple color or a Rose color, both are lovely. Keep in mind that while cool looking toys are all the rage right now, there is reason behind the form and function of the Delight, it’s not all *just* to please the eye, though it’s design certainly helps! ;) The Delight is full rechargeable, and requires no batteries! I love the fact that this toy is rechargeable, most of my favorite toys are rechargeable, and to me, it’s a perk to not have to fumble around for batteries right in the heat of the moment. So how do you charge this toy? it’s super easy! You charge Delight right in it’s case! Cool, huh? The Delight, which is shaped somewhat like an “S”, comes in a matching case which you can use for storage, and it’s also the charging base. You plug the base into your electric wall outlet, set Delight on top to charge, give it a few hours to charge up and you’re all set to use the toys up to several hours of use! The toy is also made of soft supple silicone, that is body-safe. It works great with your favorite water-based lube, but as the body of the toy is silicone, that means it’s not compatible with silicone lubes. The body of the toy is seamless for the most part, but it’s not completely waterproof. It is splash-proof though and it’s easy to clean, I highly suggest using your favorite toy wipe or antibacterial soap and warm water. You can also use a water to alcohol solution to keep it sanitized.

Not let’s discuss the body of the toy. The Fun Factory Delight vibrator looks somewhat like a snake, or like an S shape. One end of the toy features a rounded head, fingerhole for holding the toy, and also the control buttons. This is the part you will hold onto as you use the toy. Down the length of the body you’ll notice that the toy curves and creates a contoured G-spot angle. This is the part of the toy that you insert into your vagina. You can hold onto the handle of the toy, which is easy to hold, and keeps your thumb in perfect position for switching the control buttons. Upon inserting the toy, the curved end can be guided to fit against your G-spot. With all G-spot toys, there is no definite way to use the toy as each woman’s body is different, and each woman’s G-spot is unique. So you can use the toy to find just the right spot for you. Once the head of the toy is resting nicely against the G-spot, the fun can truly begin. You’ll also notice that when the toy is inserted, the neck of the toy also can be used to stimulate your clit! You can press your vulva against the neck of the toy, between the G-spot end and the handle, and you can enjoy some nice vibration on the clit as the other end works your G-spot. The control buttons are easy to use, and you can click the buttons to find the right vibration speed for you, and you can also browse through the vibration patterns. You can use this toy in a variety of positions, either sitting down, laying down, or any other way that works best for you.

So how does this toy work? I think it’s awesome! The size is nice, the vibration settings and speeds are versatile and of course I love that the toy is rechargeable. The silicone feels great on the body, and I like that I can grind against the toy while I use it. This toy is also good for thrusting. You can grasp the handle of the toy and rock it back and forth as you rock your hips, or you can simply use a firm thrusting motion to stimulate the G-spot. I like the design of this toy, I like the colors, and I like the way this toy feels as I use it. It’s not super quiet, but not too loud either. The vibrations are nice, ranging from a low-medium range or a nice higher range. I really like the curved head also and I think that it feels pretty awesome against the G-spot. Definitely a cool toy from Fun Factory!

You can buy the Fun Factory Delight for $84.95 at FunWares.com! They offer fast shipping, awesome customer service, and they have a great selection of sex toys at affordable prices. Highly recommended!

Nina Hartley’s Guide to Female Ejaculation DVD review

September 22nd, 2010 @ Amber St. Clare

Nina was my first. No, not *that* first. My first sex educational DVD! I haven’t reviewed that many DVDs here on Scarlet’s Letter, so I decided it might be cool to share my opinion of a DVD that my readers might enjoy. With all of the There-is-no-Gspot and the Yes-there-is buzz around the internet (By the way, there IS one :P ) I thought it might be cool to feature an instructional DVD that showcases the how and what and where of the G-spot. Now, call me crazy, but I haven’t taken a sex-ed course since high school, and all I can say is that Nina Hartley is way cooler than my old teacher was. If you’re going to be taught some real sex education, might as well let Nina teach you! Nina Nartley, only one of the most popular porn stars of our time, does an awesome job on the DVD of showing us how to locate the G-spot, how to stimulate it, and even what it looks like! (Yes really…I’ll get to that later though!) The DVD Nina Hartley’s Guide to Female Ejaculation begins with a little chat with Nina and her sidekick who tells us a little background info on the Gspot and how it’s talked about as an elusive spot, but really, it can be found with patience and the right tools. Then Nina introduces us to porn star Anna Mills, who will be her little G-spot guinea pig ;) Anna gets comfy in her chair, and Nina goes on to talk about Anna’s genitals, showing us the clit, her vulva, and vaginal opening. Nina tells us that she’s going to stimulate Anna, to get her nice and warmed up for G-spot play. She proceeds to give Anna oral sex, and tease her clit with toys, and use some other sex toys on her clit and vagina. Nina is fun to watch! She talks to both Anna, and to the viewer. She tries to explain each thing that she is doing.

Then she does something kind of cool and totally unexpected…she shows us what the G-spot looks like! No, I’m not talking about a drawing, or an acrylic model. I mean, she uses a speculum to open Anna’s vagina, and actually shows us the inside of her vagina! She points out to us a slightly rounded spot on the upper vaginal wall, and tells us that is the G-spot. She touches it lightly and Anna squirms a little from excitement. Then Nina tells us that she’s going to help Anna ejaculate! Female ejaculation, is not urine contrary to popular belief. It’s fluid from the urethral sponge that fills and engorges with sexual stimulation which can create seriously intense orgasms and yes, sometimes, squirting! Nina uses her fingers of Anna’s G-spot using a “come here” motion, she also uses sex toys on Anna’s G-spot such as the popular Njoy Pure Wand, Anna even remarks how much her G-spot likes that toy ;) After Nina works Anna’s G-spot for awhile Anna squirts a small amount, and the camera zooms in to show the fluid begin to trail down Anna’s vulva. Anna then uses the G-spot toy (Pure Wand) on herself , the camera zooming in on the action, and we see Anna’s genitals contract as she squirts! She squirts several more times from working her pussy with the contoured G-spot sex toys. It was really fun to watch! it did feel educational as well as arousing.

Then we are introduced to sex scene involving two porn stars who start with a little foreplay, and then soon go into intercourse. We see them having sex in different positions, and we get to see female ejaculation happen during sex! Really cool to watch. I think this DVD would be fun for those who like to squirt or are curious about squirting. This DVD gives some great tips on where adn how to find your G-spot, how your lover can stimulate your G-spot, and also how female ejaculation looks as it happens live. Highly recommended to men also, if they’d like to learn some tips on how they can help their partner have a squirting orgasm.

You can buy Nina Hartley’s Guide to Female Ejaculation for $24.95 at TabuToys.com, they also carry a variety of different sex toys, and their shipping is both fast and discreet.

LELO Ella G-spot Dildo review

September 20th, 2010 @ Amber St. Clare

Ella…so close to Bella, and that it is…beautiful. This LELO toy not only is visually appealing, but it works amazingly well to product fantastic orgasms for me. First let me just say that like all over Lelo toys, Lelo Ella comes in a black gift box. Tucked inside the box, you will find Ella, and a user manual and satin storage pouch. Where is the charger you ask? Ella is a dildo, not a vibrator. Crazy, I know! I’m so used to using vibrating LELO toys, it was cool to finally own a non-vibrating Lelo product. The toy is similar in design to the Gigi vibrator, in the way that it offers a flat curved head for G-spot stimulation. It also offers a nice sized shaft, and the other end of the toy features a pin-point end, which can also be used for penetration. Ella is a double ended dildo, so both ends can be used. This toy is made so super soft supple silicone, so it’s body-safe, and completely waterproof. It also can be cooled in the fridge or warmed up in a bowl of warm water, since silicone holds temperature very well. Nice! So how does it feel?

Awesome! I adore Ella. Not only is this toy pretty (mine is a deep rose color, but it also comes in black) but it feels super yummy in my vagina. Inserting Ella is fairly easy, and once you do, you can feel the flat head aimed toward the front wall of your vagina. Then you can position the toy against your G-spot. Ella feels nice being thrust against the G-spot, with quick and firm pressure. If you’re a G-spot newbie, I’d like to remind you to get yourself nice and aroused before you go searching for your G-spot. As you get aroused the urethral sponge will become engorged, and you’ll be able to find your G-spot easier *and* that’s when the snesation becomes really magical. I used the other end of the Ella, the pin pointed tip to flick my clit back and forth and tease it. Then I applied the flat head of Ella against my clit and worked my clitoris into a frenzy, and enjoyed a nice orgasm…or two ;) Once I was thoroughly aroused, I inserted Ella into my pussy, and could already feel it nudging my G-spot. The thing I love about the body of this dildo, is that it’s easy to hold on to! I could easily grasp the other end of the dildo, as I thrust the curved end into my vagina. Paired with a rocking movement of my hips, I thrust Ella firmly and quickly against my G-spot and produced a seriously AWESOME orgasm. I think Ella might be one of my new favorite G-spot toys actually! I highly recommend this toy to seasoned G-spot pros and newbies! I think this toy may even be a great beginner G-spot toy because of the shape, silicone feel, and easy and comfort of holding the handle as one thrusts. You could also pair Ella with your favorite clit toy, or have your partner perform oral sex on you while you use the Ella. So many yummy possibilities!

Get LELO Ella for only $42.95 at FunWares.com, they have a lot of great sex toys to choose from and nice prices too!

The G-spot – To Boldly Go Where Few Women Have Gone Before (Guest Post by Domina Doll)

March 2nd, 2010 @ Amber St. Clare

Back when the Original Star Trek first aired in 1966, there was little information available to the general public about the G-spot.  There was a sexual revolution going on and women like Betty Dodson were reclaiming their clitoris for the good of womankind and teaching women how to masturbate.  It is doubtful that the old Uhura ever knew about her G-spot, as progressive as her character was, and most likely used her new age gadgets for clitoral stimulation alone.

You see, women’s libbers (or feminists) of the time didn’t like Freud’s analogy that the vagina was superior to the clitoris as far as orgasms go because that meant the all mighty penis still held power over women’s right to sexual pleasure.  They preferred Kinsey’s analogy who believed there was no such thing as a vaginal orgasm, as if fit better with women empowering their own sexual freedom, rather than needing a man. Move over Captain Kirk!

Phase to Star Trek: Next Generation…  In 1982, Beverly Whipple and her colleagues wrote a ground-breaking book: “The G Spot (And Other Discoveries About Human Sexuality)”, the first book to prove the existence and define the location of the Gräfenberg spot (or G-spot) named for the German physician Ernst Grafenberg who first described “an erotic zone located on the anterior wall of the vagina along the course of the urethra that would swell during sexual stimulation.”  From there, some women began experimenting with this so called spot, boldly going where few women had gone before, such as Deborah Sundahl, author of “Female Ejaculation and the G-spot” (review), who has taught about the G-spot and female ejaculation for 20+ years.  Her book which was published in 2003 shone new light into that dark mysterious part of the female universe and the general public became interested in the G-spot.  Women wanted to learn how to get off and how to squirt.  Given Dr. Crusher’s knowledge of the female anatomy, I’m going to argue that she was aware of the G-spot, but like most doctors, probably didn’t give it much credence.  Deanna Troi, however, being quite intuitive and sexually liberated most likely squirted all the time, which is why she is always smiling in NextGen.

So the question is: does the G-spot exist?

Yes, the G-spot does exist.  “The area the G-spot occupies is called the urethral sponge and it is tissue that surrounds the urethra (the tube we pee out of) that swells with fluid during sexual arousal.   It is associated with the prostate gland in men and is made up of a complex system of erectile tissue, secretion glands (the Skene’s gland), the internal pelvic nerve and muscles that engage with one another during the arousal cycle.  In most women it is sensitive to pressure and stimulation which can lead to high levels of sexual arousal and powerful orgasms.  The existence of a G-spot has been widely accepted and most popular sexology books treat it as fact.  In one study of female ejaculation, 84% of the approximately 1300 professional women who responded reported a sensitive area in the vagina, and this was correlated with those who also reported ejaculation.”—How to Pleasure Your G-spot.

Do all women have one?  And, if they do, why can’t many women get off with theirs?

Okay, back to Star Trek and an analogy.  Most human beings are born with eyes, correct?  Can we say most likely 99.99% of people are born with eyes? If we agree, then most likely, the same goes for the G-spot in women and the prostate gland in men.  Nearly all women have a G-spot.  But, like eyes, some people are born blind, and people have varying degrees of eyesight, therefore it stands to reason, that women will also experience varying degrees of a heightened or hibernating G-spot responses.  To some women, the G-spot will be a “natural” addition to their sexual pleasure and one that they discover spontaneously when they suddenly ejaculate.  For them, stimulating the G-spot will be very arousing and lead to great pleasure and explosive orgasms.  Other women may experience discomfort in an attempt to stimulate their G-spot (both bodily and psychologically).  They may have a bad experience with it that impedes them from enjoying G-spot stimulation, they may dislike female ejaculation and think it is dirty, or they may even experience pain, or nothing at all.  That doesn’t mean their G-spot doesn’t exist, it means they don’t enjoy it, or don’t get off on it, or have yet to discover it.  Some women will never discover it, as every woman is different, and each woman’s sexual response is triggered by different stimuli.

However, just like we have glasses for eyes, and various other ways of helping people see better, (think Geordi La Forge and his visor—that’s my Star Trek analogy!) we also have tools that can help women discover their G-spot and take pleasure in it.  The first of those tools is knowledge and there are many books and instructional videos on the topic.  The two best books I have found on the subject are Deborah Sundahl’s “Female Ejaculation and the G-Spot” and Violet Blue’s “The Smart Girl’s Guide to the G-Spot ” both available via Amazon.com.  For DVDs I recommend Nina Hartley’s Guide to G-spot Sex and Nina Harley’s Guide to Female Ejaculation [my review].  In “Guide to G-spot Sex” Nina explains the G-spot with an anatomical chart and then shows another female actor’s G-spot up close and personal with a vaginal speculum and you can see the bumpy tissue very well.  In “Guide to Female Ejaculation” Nina helps costar Anna Mills squirt copiously using various G-spot tools and dildos (namely the Njoy Pure Wand) and you can see female ejaculation quite clearly.  Before doing this video with Nina, Anna had never experienced G-spot ejaculation before, read a book on the subject and taught herself how-to.  Both of these videos are excellent resources for those of us who are more visual and need “proof”.  The books are much more in depth, but also very valuable.  Sundahl’s book (although a bit esoteric for some people) has a great step-by-step exploration guide to help women discover their G-spot.  Even though I could ejaculate before I read the book, I learned how to do so “on command” with the use of G-spot sex toys and masturbation.  Blue’s book is very straight forward and an easy read, yet, still very helpful in relating the facts and misconceptions surrounding the G-spot.

Enter Star Trek (2009), the film, and we find a very hip younger Uhura who definitely knows where her G-spot is and how to orgasm from it.  Her new age gadgets are shaped like vibrating dildos with that perfect G-spot curve designed to hit the spot and make her rock.  Occasionally, she allows Spock to partake in that action, but she in no way “needs” a man (Vulcan or not!) to help her find it.  She still finds the occasional Romulan who refuses to accept the existence of the G-spot, but luckily, they get sucked into a Black Hole and the G-spot is saved for all womankind to enjoy!

Back on Earth, we still encounter the G-spot debate with pseudo-scientists disclaiming its existence.  “In an era where we have flown men to the moon, made Star Trek’s communicators a reality, grown ears on the backs of mice and cloned sheep, it seems pretty ridiculous that we still haven’t found that elusive G-spot!”—The Case of the Mysteriously Vanishing G-spot.  And, there are still sexologists who prefer to stick to their guns when it comes to their Clitoral hierarchy, by spreading the misinformation that the G-spot is only  a “smoke and mirrors” parlor trick.—A Critique of Betty Dodson’s “How to Squirt Video”.  Yes, the clitoris is essential to women’s sexual pleasure and without it we would not be able to enjoy the G-spot at all, as the G-spot is believed to be an internal extension of the clitoral structure.  Still, denying its existence does every woman a disservice and “threatens to cast us back into the dark ages of belief systems that has shrouded female sexuality in myths. This kind of speculation is damaging to women’s right to pleasure, leading to sexual frustration, false cures and self-doubt.”—Yes, Virginia, There is a G-spot… But Not Every Woman Has One.

Hopefully, someday, like our Star Trek explorers, we will all boldly go where only a few women have gone before, and the G-spot will cease to be science fiction (to some) and become science fact (to all).  Okay… now beam me up Scotty, I’m ready to explore that “undiscovered country”, (or the dark mysterious universe that is female sexual anatomy) and experience a Super Nova orgasm, while naysayers struggle to pull themselves out of the Black Hole of self-doubt.  Are you with me?  Warp speed ahead!

Find your G-spot! Giveaway

January 13th, 2010 @ Amber St. Clare

Let’s stick it to the man! Then stick it in your vagina. After hearing about the recent “study” about the G-spot (it was actually a survey…not a “study”) and how the G-spot is supposedly a myth (not!). I thought it would be fitting to do a giveaway. The G-spot study recently done in the UK claims that women don’t really have a G-spot, they simply think that they do, so their mind convinces them that they do. Um…yeah right. The first time I found my G-spot, I wasn’t even looking! I had given up looking and wasn’t even trying or expecting to orgasm from G-spot stimulation, but then it happened! Sorry Mr. “Scientists”, but my G-spot is not in my mind, it’s in my vagina. The survey that suggested this to scientists was a survey given to women, and then the hypothesis was tallied about reading the results of said survey. So it’s really not all that surprising, considering most women don’t know where their G-spot is. Female sexuality is so severely shadowed and hushed up today, that it’s hard to believe that it’s actually the 21st century. Women need female sexual education and need to be supported in their search for G-spot pleasure, not shamed or told they are crazy for thinking they have one. So instead of making information about the G-spot available, they dismiss it and make it nothing more than the Lochness Monster of the female anatomy.

Evolved Novelties Diamond Lustre

October 1st, 2009 @ Amber St. Clare

I’ve reviewed some Evolved Novelties toys in the past, and one of my favorite things about EN toys, is that they are affordable. Now, I’ll admit,I am a bit of a toy snob, and some of my favorite toys are quite pricey, but generally you get what you pay for. Meaning quality toys often come at a higher price. Evolved Novelties is a fun company that offers cute toys that are generally under $40. Which is a nice price range for those who don’t want to compromise their sexual satisfaction just because we are in a recession. The Diamond Lustre is one of Evolved Novelties g-spot vibes. This toy is small, very discreet, and it’s actually cute. Made of a satiny smooth velvet cote type of material, this toy is curved at the head for G-spot stimulation. The base of the toy is circled with rhinestones. This toy is part of EN’s Diamond Edition toy collection. One of the things I like about Evolved Novelties toys is that they all come in a tin box. Cute packaging and presentation which makes this affordable toy feel like a splurge even though it’s really a steal (shhh, don’t tell your wallet!). This toy offers multiple speeds, and is even waterproof. Though I would not suggest submerging this baby in water. It’s perfectly safe for shower use though. You can clean this toy quite easily too, using anti-bacterial soap and water or your fav toy cleaner. Since this toy isn’t made of silicone, it’s made of a type of smooth plastic material, so to make clean up even easier, you can even slip this little guy into a condom!

Diamond Lustre works nicely. It’s vibrations are not extremely intense, but this toy is small and quite discreet, so you can carry it in your purse for wank-off sessions on the go. This toy is pretty quiet. It’s not something that can be heard through a closed door, but it may be able to be heard in a silent room, so keep that in mind if you have roomies. The head of this toy is pretty small, so while it’s a nice toy to warm your G-spot up with, it wasn’t a toy that really rocked my G-spot the way I wanted it to be down. If you’re a G-spot beginner, this could actually be ideal for you though, as the toy’s curved end will help you locate and stimulate your special area. This toy can also be used on the clit. Just swirl or flick the curved end against your clit. This sex toy is a good deal for the price, but if you’re a G-spot pro, you’ll want to skip this toy and go for one of the big boys such as the Njoy Pure Wand or the Bswish Bgee.
