Review: Scantilly Peek a Boo in Red

December 6th, 2017 @ Amber

How sweet is this new Red colorway from Scantilly? The brand new Peekaboo colorway is perfect for the holidays! Made of super soft deep red satin, this set is a stunner! It has the usual sexy semi-sheer mesh and satin overlay, that creates a beautiful illusion at the bustline. The fit is spot on and fits as Scantilly bras usually fit, which is for me, is true to size. I already have the Scantilly Peekaboo set in the classic black color, and in the scarlet shade from a few seasons ago which was more of a pinky-red, while the new Red colorway is like a true holiday red. So pretty! The set offers a cheeky bare faced brief, which I am obsessed with. Scantilly does ouvert so well! The matching suspender belt brings the entire set together to create a pretty package that is perfect for the winter holidays. I have softer tissue breast, and as you can see from the photo below, the bra lifts my bust and creates a really nice shape that makes me feel supported. It offers cleavage and projection, and is also super comfortable. One reason I adore Scantilly is because they are one of the sexiest full bust brands on the market, but not only that, but their pieces are also actually comfortable too. I adore the neckline, and the straps are comfortable and don’t dig in. I also like that no matter what type of breasts you have, firm or super squishy, these designs work well. Scantilly and Curvy Kate are hands down two of my favorite brands for fit and style, but also because they make me feel like my boobs look awesome.

It creates a beautiful profile! I think this set is both really pretty but also really sultry and playful. Put this set on your wishlist for Santa, because this set is so gorgeous. If you’ve yet to try the Peekaboo design, give this colorway a chance, it’s even prettier in person! If you prefer classic black, double your pleasure and grab that colorway as well! The design looks great in every colorway they’ve done so far, and I hope they release this design in new colorways in the future.

Love the design, but red isn’t your color? Check out the Scantilly Peek a Boo in Black, check my review of that colorway here.

I also finally got my hands (butt?) on the Entwine Lace Up Knickers. I love the Scantilly Entwine bra, you can read my review here. I had the matching high waist thong which is so fun, but was crushing hard on these lace back briefs, and they are perfection!

Scantilly is the brand of the holiday season, because it merges gorgeous sexy designs and both classic and holiday appropriate colors! You can order all of these pieces and more at the Scantilly online shop.

December 3rd, 2017 @ Amber

I’m so excited to introduce you to MariLupa Lingerie, the sister brand to the indie UK brand Buttress and Snatch. The designs are cohesive and really fit with the unique and fun designs we’ve originally come to know from the B&S range, while featuring brand new designs, offering bespoke sizing, and designs with a focus on precious stones, dyed silk, antique lace and more. Sizes are available in back sizes 28-42 and cup sizes AA-G, which is so impressive! They have a vintage styling like B&S does, as well as a sea nymph/mermaid style to the designs. So fun! Review: Dita Von Teese Lingerie Dahlia Set for Fuller Busts

November 9th, 2017 @ Amber

I’ve been a fan of the Dita Von Teese Lingerie line since it first came out. So many gorgeous silhouettes and designs with a modern flair but a truly vintage and retro sex appeal. I hadn’t been able to try much from the bra as I was sized out of the bras. I tried sister sizing a few years ago with the Star lift set, which I loved, but I definitely needed a larger cup even with sister sizing. So imagine how excited I was to hear that the DVT Lingerie range is expanding their sizing slowly but surely, and now offer up to a G cup in some styles. The black intricately sexy and mysterious Dahlia set, is black, luscious, strappy, and has the most unique embroidery on the cups. I haven’t been wearing as many strappy styles lately, but when offered the chance to be one of the first bloggers to the the new G cup size, I was so excited! I received the classic black Dahlia bra along with matching brief and suspender. Gorgeous! The set is actually even prettier in person, photos do not do this set justice. As for sizing, the cups run a bit small, so size up, or size up in the band to make up for the difference, which runs true to size. I went with a 32G, the band was a great fit, the band is all strappy, by the way, no basic back band, but a strappy band which we often only see on smaller busted styles. The matching brief features black mesh and the same fabric as the bra, with a mesh back and strappy detailing at the hips. The suspender belt, which also runs true to size along with the panties, really completes the set and brings it all together to create a really beautiful and versatile set. The suspender is lovely, and offer straps that are adjustable and easy to attach to your favorite stockings!

I was worried how this bra was going to fit on me due to my softer breast tissue, but it actually worked pretty well! I was pleasantly surprised, and now I can’t wait to try more Dita Von Teese Lingerie styles to my wardrobe, because I am obsessed now! I love how fun this set feels to wear, how confident and sexy I feel in it. It’s the bees knees. The set is really well made, and the beautiful and interesting slightly looped detailing on the cups is really both fun and unlike any other material I have on any of the bras in my collection. The bra is supportive and offers nice lift, and a good shape, softly rounded but also offers a slightly natural tapered shape, which gives way to the vintage fit.

If you have big boobs and have yet to be able to try the DVT Lingerie collection, now is your chance! You can find the Dita Von Teese Dahlia set at Figleaves or Bare Necessities.

Review: Scantilly Entwine

October 10th, 2017 @ Amber

Hot damn. This lingerie set from Scantilly is so sizzling hot. The funny thing about loving lingerie is that someone you immediately fall for a set, and other times it takes you a moment to really ponder and decide. For me, I liked the design of the brand new Scantilly Entwine set, but I wasn’t totally intoxicated by it enough to own it. Thennnnnn, as so often happens, I saw it on a fellow lingerie blogger and that was it. I needed it. I was so silly to have overlooked it at first. This bra oozes sexiness. It almost has a shoulder bra style, with lightly padded cups, with soft sheer stretchy polyblend on top, with rosegold findings and a ribbon corset style tie-up at the center gore going upward turning this into a high-neck style bra. The 3-part cup offers a loft of lift and support and a beautiful shape, and the material of the bra feels so damn soft and smooth. The bra itself is very comfortable, and I love the ribbon ties in the center, you can unloop the ribbon and leave it open, or tie it up tight which gives you an even more pulled together look and offers extra cleavage. There is a small Scantilly rosegold logo circle disc charm at the center gore. I love how this bra looks on, and it feels great, looks so fun, and it actually gives me a really great shape and I love the way this bra works with my breast tissue type and breast shape. The bra is the bees knees. There is a matching lace up knicker that I was swooning over, with a lace up over your butt in the back, but I ended up getting the high-waisted thong, which features a lace up detail at the top back of the thong, but it isn’t open like the lace up brief. I definitely should have gotten then lace up brief, but maybe I can get that brief as an exact matching panty for this set. This bra fits true to size in the cup, and perhaps a bit generous in the band but not too much. The panties run true to size but offer a lot of stretch, so it hugs your curves really well. Unf! This set is so scrumptious. I would love to see this set come out in new colorways in future collections, thats how much I like the look and fit of this bra.

You can find the Scantilly Entwine Bra and matching High Waist Thong or Lace Up Brief at Scantilly by Curvy Kate!

Review: Scantilly Peek a Boo in Black

October 10th, 2017 @ Amber

Scantilly, oh Scantilly. How do I love thee? A fucking lot. I’m such a huge fan of Curvy Kate’s sister-brand Scantilly. Scantilly is like CK’s older more sexy sophisticated sister, and while the brand offers the same great fit for fuller busts, it boasts sexy styles that we often don’t see in the full bust market. I generally wear a 32FF/G (UK) bra size right now, and I often find myself lusting after sexy little bra sets that just aren’t available in my size. While the fullbust market has had a big upsurge over the past few years and new brands offering fuller bust sizes has been coming out on the regular, my main qualm is that we don’t see a lot of sexy skimpy styles that are well made and feature quality materials. We get a lot of solid colors, lined lace cups, and florals. This is why I like Scantilly so much, the collection is full of pieces that make me feel hot when I wear them. They’re lusty and naughty if you want them to be, and usually thats what I want my lingerie to be. Scantilly is one of the few brands that I’m a regular customer of. Their first collection consisted of a cute set called Peek a Boo in black, which has been a steady seller in their line up in new collections ever since. Though each new season has brought a new colorway of Scantilly Peek a Boo, the classic black has remained a classic from the brand. The set offers black sheer mesh cups, with a black satin sweetheart style wrap gathering at the bottom of the bust. No bow at the center gore, and instead there is the signature rose-gold Scantilly logo circle charm. The matching panty is available in a variety of styles, but I’m most drawn to the Bare Face panty, which offers a big ouvert opening along the butt. The matching suspender belt is made of the stretch satin, and is both comfortable and basic, while really bringing the entire set together to form a cohesive look.

In my experience, Scantilly runs true to size if not a bit large in the band, and small in the cup, usually. Though it can depend upon the style, unlined, padded, etc. The panties and suspenders are only available in S-XL, so I normally wear a XS bottom, but I go with the smallest size available which is the Small. It does fit but there is a bit of stretch, so if they offered the size I would definitely go with a XS. The brief is super comfy, and the ouvert back is so much fun. There is a little mesh panel at the front of the panty, and a matching circle logo charm at the front waistband. While the back is open, the crotch is not, and there is a comfortable gusset. The suspender runs true to size (I go with the Small, since they are S-XL) and it offers a decent amount of stretch and it’s very comfortable with 4 garters so you can wear it with your favorite pair of stockings to complete the look. This set would be awesome for any time of year, but with the holiday season coming up, I love this for Christmas or New Year’s Eve lingerie. I got this set from the lovely folks at Large Cup Lingerie, which is one of my favorite lingerie boutiques. They are based in the UK but have free international shipping that is super fast and discreet. They also have great prices and carry wonderful full bust bras brands. Check them out and grab this Scantilly Peek a Boo set while you’re there!

Review: Mimi Holliday Bisou Bisou Sherbet

October 10th, 2017 @ Amber

I’ve been a fan of the lovely Mimi Holliday brand for awhile now. A subbrand of the Damaris brand, this girly and sweet brand offers pretty designs and a few of them are available in fuller bust sizes. From the newest collection they offered their Bisou Bisou set in Sherbet, which was available in a G cup. I tend to wear a 32FF/G depending on the brand fit, and with Mimi Holliday I fit best in a size G. I love how this bra comes in a sweet soft pastel colors, of peach and yellow, it’s very candy floss inspired. Best of all, it features a pretty eyelash lace on the cups, without added padding or without a layer underneath the lace. I wish more fuller busts designs offered just bare lace cups, so I was really liking this design. The matching panties feature the same eyelash lace with a bow at the center waistband and a corset style lace up back on the booty. Very fun and flirty. The bra is a maxi bra, with 3 panels on the cups to offer added support. I tend to have heavier breast tissue, but I still found that it offered a naturally lifted shape. The panties are true to size. The fit was nice and the corset style on the back offers a cute peek of an ouvert style.

Super cute! Even the packaging is beautiful. A white gift bag tied up with a ribbon. The material feels soft and pretty against the skin, and the straps feature a little ribbon bow at the bottom of each strap. It offers a bit of support and some cleavage on me, probably would have had more if I had a more dense breast tissue. I really hope that Mimi Holliday continues to add some styles in fuller bust sizes, because I really like the cute designs and the lovely lace and colorways they offer. Highly recommended for those who are fullerbusted and looking for a more feminine and pretty design with unlined lace cups that we don’t always get in the fullbust market.

Sacha Kimmes Eden Collection

October 7th, 2017 @ Amber

Indie lingerie designer Sacha Kimmes has just released her newest collection entitled Eden, which features a black and white colorway. Floral semi-sheer white lace with black edging and ribbons, the collection features an open cup bralette, bodysuit, skirted brief, knickers and ouvert panty and crop top. Sacha is a fantastic designer, I’m a big fan of her work, her excellent stitching and attention to detail and the fact that her collections are limited edition and usually made to order. She also offers a wide size range, and if she doesn’t carry your size, she can do a custom made to measurement piece if you contact her. Sacha is friendly, artistic, and always inspiring. The new Eden collection merges minimalist lines and gives it a cute upgrade with feminine floral lace and contrast black edging. Shop the collection now and check out some of the photos from the lookbook below.

Maude Nibelungen Grey Area Collection

October 6th, 2017 @ Amber

The new collection from Maude Nibelungen is so beautiful. Her knit pieces are unlike anything else on the market. The new collection is called Grey Area, and the lookbook is so pretty and stylistic, with our very own fellow lingerie blogger Comics Girls Need Bras as the model! The minimalist design is very modern and is made of knit fibers that look both soft and sensuous, lightweight and comfortable. Maude artistic voice shines through in this collection, which merges black yarn that is artfully knit to create both exquisite texture and design. I also like that these pieces work well with women of any size. I was so curious how Maude’s work would work with a fuller bust, so I was thrilled to see in this lookbook. I like that the collection can be layered together or worn alone or with other pieces in your collection. The work can be layered and worn as outerwear fashion as well as boudoir wear. Check out some of the photos below and then check out the collection to add some of these unique handmade items to your collection.

Indie lingerie brand Dottie’s Delights has just released their newest collection entitled “Cascade”. The collection consists of beautiful bralettes, bras, suspender belts, tap pants and more. The designs themselves are made of gorgeous silk and lace, creating truly lovely silhouettes. The inspiration comes from the 1970s style cut and colors along with 1930’s style deco. The merging of two different eras creates a really unique and stylish aesthetic full of interesting prints, including an incredible robe. Check out the entire new collection at Dottie’s Delights, and check out some of the photos from the new collection below. Which are your favorites?
