Meet Ola. The Minna Ola is one of the most anticipated toys in the past few years to come into my collection. I first heard about the toy at the adult novelty expo back in 2009, and I’ve been looking forward to it’s release ever since. Minna Ola is not just any vibrator. A softer squeeze offers low vibration, and the more intense of a squeeze, the higher more intense vibration. Fun! I love this feature. I’m a technology dork, and love knowing how things work and the creative side to what makes a good sex toy, so this toy was really a winner for me. The toy comes with a charger that is pressed against the charging port, no plugs, no open seams. Minna Ola offers a rounded slightly curved end, and then a more tapered end, the tapered end has the squeeze pad. The squeeze pad is in the back of the toy, and just below the squeeze pad is the Minna logo and below that is the white/metal charging port. On the front of the toy, you’ll see two small seamless buttons. The bottom button is the Power button, which you’ll press and hold for a second to turn the toy on. The top button is the Lock/Loop button. Whats that you ask? Well, you know how I mentioned that the technology inside of Minna was really cool? The squeeze technology is just the beginning, the toy also has squeeze memory! The toy doesn’t come with pre-set vibration patterns. if most vibrators are kind of like those old Casio keyboards that have the present Yankee Doodle songs, well, Minna Ola is a whole orchestra! After turning the toy on, you can squeeze the pad to play with the vibration vibration intensity. The Ola measures about 8 inches in length with with the bottom end being a little over 1 inch around. If you want to use for long periods of play I would suggest the Lock/Loop feature though. The other cool thing about this toy is that the squeeze technology makes it fun with a partner, letting your partner squeeze Ola’s pad to create their own pattern to tease you. Since it’s waterproof, the toy can also be used in the tub or shower. It’s silicone, so to keep the material in good condition, only use this toy with water-based lubricants. To wash the toy, anti-bacterial soap and water, sex toy cleanser, or sex cleanser spray or wipes should do the trick. Alternatively you can wipe the toy down with a solution of 90% water to 10% isopropyl alcohol. The toy isn’t too loud, it’s pretty quiet even at it’s highest setting and should be fine to use behind closed doors. The satin storage pouch is nice for storing the toy when not in use. So, how are the vibrations? Pretty awesome. It’s not the most powerful toy in my collection, but it offers a nice rumbling vibration that resonates throughout the skin very well. Squeezing the hardest on the pad creates the most intensity and it’s definitely enough to get me off. The toy can be used clitorally or internally, and the toy even feels nice against the neck, breasts, nipples and stomach.

The squeeze pad powers the shaft of the toy, and all along the wider end of the toy. This end is very slightly curved, so it can be used for internal stimulation and if angled slightly, G-spot stimulation also. Each part of the toy, both the shaft and the clitoral stimulator, are controlled separately. There are three buttons on each side, one side being the shaft of the toy for vaginal insertion, and the other being the clitoral stimulator for external stimulation. F1, On/Up, Off. F2, On/Up, Off. There are small little lights that will light up above each side of the control that light up to let you know that part of the toy is turned on and vibrating. To navigate the vibration patterns and speeds simple press and browse through the middle button, and to turn the toy off at any time, simply press and Off button. You can also power one side of the toy with a more intense vibration, or a different vibration setting while the other side vibrates at a different speed or pattern. I like that you can basically customize how you want this toy to vibrate, using the separate control panels. The buttons are pretty easy to push, even with lube on your fingers, and the handle is large enough for grasping and getting a good handle on the toy, the grooves on the handle of the toy also make for easier grip while holding the toy You can aim the inner shaft upward to stimulate your G-spot, and the toy thrusts nicely when you move it in and out. Every woman’s anatomy is not the same, some clits are down further or up higher, hooded more or exposed more, and some inner and outer labia are fuller, so that seems to be the deal breaker with most dual stimulation vibrators  – finding a dual stimulator that fits and adjusts to every woman. The Vibratex Violet vibrator is one of the better dual stimulators that I’ve tried. I like the shape of the shaft, and the clitoral stimulator is flexible, allowing for you to move it to envelope and nuzzle your clit at whatever angle works best for you. Also, with the added wing that flicks nicely during vibration adds more area for the clitoral stimulator to cover. I’m really impressed with this vibrator, this may be my current favorite Vibratex vibe. The color is pretty, the design and shape is unique an stimulating, and the contours and shape of the clitoral arm massages the vulva area really nicely. The toy isn’t whisper quiet, but it’s also not what I would call loud. You should be just fine to use this toy with roommates in the other room. The control buttons are easy to navigate, and the toy offers nice vibration. Definitely a cool new toy from Vibratex.

Not too surprising that my favorite flavored lubricants would come from one of my favorite lube brands. I’ve tried many flavored lubricants for review, even though I’m not much of a flavored lube fan, most of them still fall short. Most are either too thick, leave an icky aftertaste, or just plain taste bad and nothing like the flavor they are marketed as. I kept an open mind when first trying System JO H2O Flavored lubricants about 2 years ago, I first tasted their Tangerine flavor and was really happy with it, it was the first flavored lube where I thought “Wow, I would actually use this, and enjoy using it”. Which is saying something for someone who’s not a huge flavored lube connoisseur. I recently just tried two flavors from the line that I hadn’t tried before, and was even more excited because these are two of my favorite flavors: Watermelon, and Pomegranate.

System JO H2O Flavored Sweet Pomegranate lubricant comes in a nice sized bottle and offers a photo of a pomegranate neat the System JO logo. The cap offers a flip top cap that closes shut securely to ensure that it doesn’t spill. If you’re familiar with System JO lubes at all, you’ll know that their line of H2O lubes are super silky and smooth like silicone but are water-based and don’t contain silicone. The fluidity of the formula is more thin than other flavored lubes. Most flavored lubes are thick and I feel like it coats the entire tongue and just feels gel-like in the mouth, where as this lube has the same light and thin texture as their regular H2O line. This is a good thing to me, because the texture doesn’t feel gross in my mouth, and it’s not overpowering in feel, which is good because if you’re engaging in oral sex, chances are you want to taste/feel your partners genitals rather than their genitals covered in goop. This lube is not goopy, I actually think the thinner texture makes for easier spread-ability. Just because this lube is thinner than other flavored lubes, don’t think that means that it’s not long-lasting or that it will disperse too quickly. The long-lasting H2O formula has nice staying power, and I noticed that when adding saliva to it, it seemed to help the flavor linger. I personally thought this flavored lube, albeit thinner, not only tasted better than any other brand of flavored lube that I’ve tried, but it also lasted longer and lingered even when most of the wetness from the lubed was licked away. The flavor of the pomegranate was really yummy, it wasn’t too sugary sweet and it had a kick of a tart flavor, similar to a real pomegranate. Really nice flavor for those who like that fruit, it also smells really good. ($9.95 for a 5.25 oz bottle at FunWares.com)

System JO H2O Flavored Watermelon lubricant smells so yummy, just like a watermelon lollipop. The bottle is cute and features a pink color coordinated logo to go with the watermelon photo. The bottle is easy to pour, and with this formula, like their other H2O products, a little goes a long way. A quarter sized drop is more than enough, and since the formula is so smooth and slippery it spreads and glides over the skin really well. The texture feels similar to silicone, but it’s water-based, and like all other H2O products it’s latex safe so it’s compatible with condom use. It does contain parabens and glycerin though, so for those who don’t like using products with those ingredients you should know that it contains both. It doesn’t have artificial sweetener in it like most other flavored condoms, instead it uses fruit aroma/flavor. Not sure how it’s derived, but it probably has to do with the glycerin which can have a sweet taste. It’s not super sticky, and it won’t stain your clothes or sheets. It washes away with soap and water, and is pretty easy to clean up. I didn’t notice a sticky after effect on the genitals, but when on my hands or other skin it did leave a tiny bit of stickiness after it sat on my skin for awhile. It can be easily washed off, or wiped away using a personal cleansing wipe. The flavor smells awesome, and it tastes light and sweet.
